After my wife and I purchased this movie (she was NOT a fan of seeing a re-make) we both were really surprised that it was a different movie completely! She actually wished we saw it in the movie theatre! Great story and good graphics...All around great movie (I really don't want to give too much away).. I highly recommend and so does the wife!!!

I love this movie the 3D is amazing to watch. The Steel book is very colorful and beautiful to look at. Included are the Blu Ray , 3D BR, & 4K disc. I am looking forward to getting a 4K TV so I can watch the 4K disc. There are so many bizarre and crazy creatures in this movie. I can't wait for King Kong VS. Godzilla. Watch at the end of credits.

Yes, let's all feel young again, no matter what our age! What's not to like about such a great spin on an old favorite, so well re-wrought? Well, the monkey wrench in the works is the perpetually self-inflating Samuel L. Jackson, who fits this film about as well as he did Tarzan (actually wearing the same role again, but on the dark side). What's in his wallet? Lots of cash for a job that's trash.

This is a great introduction of Kong into the kaiju universe inhabited by Godzilla. Much like 2014 Godzilla, Kong gets a past history (this time in the 1970s during the Vietnam War) and a future goal (which comes in the end credits, keep watching!). Lots of action and plenty of laughs too. Best King Kong since the 1930s original. Don't miss it.

Skull island is one of my favorite versions of Kong. Maybe the best since the original in my opinion. It doesn't follow the same formula as the other version did , which I think is a good thing. I like 3 d movies if they are done well and this film is. I am very happy that Best Buy put together a release with the 4k and 3d versions together.

When I first saw the trailer to this I was like "another Kong movie". But let me tell ya, glad I did a blind buy on this bad boy. It was actually pretty good, entertaining and looks and sounds freaking amazing. The special effects were top notch. A great overall popcorn experience from start to end. Buy it and add it to your movie collection.

This movie is totally different from any Kong movie that I have seen. It has a different pitch to the whole story. When you have finished viewing this movie you will feel that it was worthwhile and want to see all the scenes again. Beside it has such a star studded cast you will always remember that this is the best Kong movie ever produced.

This film has it all... plot, action, surprises, a fantastic cast and some unbelievable CG effects! Sincerely, a great movie for movie night with the added bonus that this movie connects to a bigger universe. So stick around after the credits! Nick Fury, Ms Marvel and Loki are pretty awesome along with Fred Flinstone and Wreck-It Ralph!

The movie itself is entertaining - kind of a throwback to the older adventure films with a dash of modern sensibility. But the real draw here is the incredible 4k PQ and the fact that this is the only place where you can get the 4k and 3D in the same package. The 3D is incredible, and worth owning on its own, but packaged with the 4k, this is a completely irresisitable package. Worth every penny!

The movie was excellent and it was a different take from all the previous King Kong movies that I've seen. John Goodman, Samuel L. Jackson and John C. Reilly all do a great job with their parts. I'd highly recommend this movie but I wouldn't say it is for kids, it's got enough blood and gore in it to limit this one to kids 13 or older.

"Kong: Skull Island" really lives up to its name, amazing special effects. I really enjoyed this version. Good action and some interesting characters. Kong and the monsters were excellent. The action packed opening and the closing of the movie were great. It's a good fun big monster movie that was enjoyed by adults and children alike.

I LOVE that Best Buy seems to be the only retailer getting these combo's. I still own two 3D TV's and since no one makes them anymore, it is getting harder and harder to find 3D titles. This package not only has the 3D version but also the 4K and regular Bluray along with a digital copy. As for the movie, what can I say? Loved it!

What I love about Kong: Skull Island is that it fully embraces what it is- a monster movie. Rather than try to elavate it to a serious drama status, it is perfectly content to be a fun filled b-movie. Great effects, performances, and fights, Kong is a great film for people not looking to take a movie about a giant ape seriously.

Yes, the original black and white film is classic, yes Jackson's version is gorgeous and great, but this one had the action/adventure punch I've always wanted from a King Kong film. The cast may not have much to do with their uninteresting characters (though Tom Hiddleston definitely had the best material), they did what they could. Can't say I enjoyed John C. Reilly's presence though.

Skull Island does a great job of balancing character development with all-out giant monster battles. As a reboot, it went in directions that I wasn't expecting; but really enjoyed. The bluray transfer is quite nice. It looked and sounded great in my home theater with 5.1 surround, and was very nice on the downstairs TV as well.

The 4K Blu ray of Kong: Skull Island offers excellent picture quality overall. there are some parts of the film where image quality seems a bit soft, but overall and with HDR it is quite the spectacle for an aptly equipped home theater system. The sound does not disappoint either with excellent directionality of effects, I.e.creature noises, explosions, and other on and off screen action.

This is a good looking, good sounding popcorn flick. It isn't groundbreaking and could have been better if it explored the island more and had an emotional theme to discuss, but it was still a fun romp. UHD is strong and could only look slightly better with Dolby Vision. Also, its nice that it comes with the 3D. It's worth the extra cost if you like 3D and have the equipment to display it.

I love big monster films. Give me Godzilla and King Kong any day!! This film has brought the big gorilla back to the screen in a BIG way! This film is what I like about going to the movies. I couldn't wait to buy the Blu-Ray so I could experience it again. I'm so happy it is the beginning of a new phase of big monster films. Hopefully the others will follow in this one's greatness!

This movie was actually pretty enjoyable! The 4K version was crisp and clear, audio was great on the home theater receiver. The 3D version definitely added a new dimension to the movie- many scenes really felt like the action was going to pull you in! Overall, this SteelBook copy of Kong: Skull Island delivered. I recommend it!

This King Kong movie turned out to be better than I was anticipating it might be. Did not see it in the theater but after renting it I bought the Ultra HD version to add to my library. I'm sure this will be watched many times down the road both with just me and the wife and with company. Excellent story and video quality in 4K.
