I first saw this on "On Demand" and loved the story and characters. I was not a fan of the original nor the remake...boring...I was not expecting much for Skull Island but was thrilled by the story, quality of video and audio and especially the characters. I knew I had to add it to my collection.

This is a very fun giant monster (Kaiju) movie. It is funny, has great pacing, and awesome awesome Kaiju action. The 4K UHD is good, but not a huge leap over the regular Blu Ray. This particular set comes with the 3D and regular Blu Ray as well. And the steel book case is fantastic! Highly recommended.

Military explorers land on Kong's Island and immediately begin dropping explosive ordinance on the island's surface. This begins with Kong's initial reaction to quell the threat and continues until the final battle occurs between man, monsters - and KONG!

Superb production with exceptional acting by exceptional actors. The cinematography is superb, audio is incredible and the action is riveting. This movie keeps a viewer in suspense and sitting on the edge of the seat. Hang on and enjoy this great movie! I am happy to own this feature in my collection.

Saw this movie initially in the theatre and it was awesome. Better than I thought & so glad it wasn't just another King Kong remake. Had to check a couple of stores to get this configuration on release day, but it was worth the effort. As my title states, its the only set with both 3D and 4K versions

This movie was one of the best adaptations of the "King Kong" franchises. The visuals were spectacular. The take, on the animals of "Skull Island", we're new and a great addition, to the story. If you ever loved any of the other "Kong" films, I think you'll love this one, or at very least, enjoy it.

The steel book artwork itself is great and far superior to the regular slipcover edition in my opinion but what really sells this version is the inclusion of The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D all in one along with a Digital copy that redeems in UHD on vudu. If you find a copy buy it!

It is great to see King Kong back on the big screen as he should be. I enjoyed the Peter Jackson Kong but this is a better Kong crushing his enemies left and right. The extras include shorts about the mysterious Monarch organization that hint at the future of this movie franchise. Enjoyed them all.

I really hope BB keeps this up! Give us more 4k and 3D in the same package for the great movies!

This Kong is interesting as it basically covers the first half of older Kong movies. It only takes place on the Island and creates a great giant monster movie. It has some weird beauty shots that seems to just exist to be pretty and some weird Vietnam undertones, but it's still a great watch.

Good FX and whole new story line. Weird snake/lizard creatures , huge water buffalo and nasty bird/bats? It's a setup for a series. The stretch of faith involves 13 combat copters and crews knocked out of the air, REALLY!! Air combat tactics with no high cover, looked like a bunch of idiots not seasoned combat crews. trainee's could have done better.

Interesting characters and monsters. Following monarchs background on giant monsters like godzilla...the muto creatures...now kong and being introduced to other large monsters on skull island. Don't miss the post credits scene. Can't wait for Godzilla : King of the monsters....and godzilla vs kong!

Since the original King Kong hit screens over eight decades ago, it has always been fun to watch mythical monster movies that are not too scary or gory with the entire family. This movie follows that tradition and does a great job of delivering a spectacular thrill ride the whole family can enjoy.

This version is without a doubt the best remake since the original. Peter Jackson's movie was great with visual effects, but he as usual, drags out the story too much. It could have been better if 20 minutes less. This version is action packed, and visually fantastic for CGI.

Awesome bundle (4k, 3d, Steelbook case) for a great movie, Kong Skull Island delivers amazing monsters and intense action throughout. Gorgeous effects highlight The King and his kingdom in all their glory. Loaded with special features its a must have for fans of Kong or Kaiju fans the world over.

The movie was a great one. the quality of the discs were excellent. The whole family has enjoyed the movie at least once. The grandkids have watched it over and over. Having the Digital copy is a nice feature also since it allows us to watch on other devices. All in all this is a great purchase.

Kong Skull Island brings King Kong into a much bigger Kaiju-verse that Godzilla will be inhabiting with him, and this adds to the story so far. With fantastic performances by Sam Jackson and John C Reilly, the story engages better than one might expect and excites for further installments.

We had to get this classic before watching Kong -vs-Godzilla. It gives a great back story and really gives a understanding of Kong. If you love Godzilla you must have this Kong Skull Island in your collection.

Saw this in theater with my sons and we had a blast with it. Not Oscar material, no doubt, but definitely a fun and entertaining monster flic. Like the new concept that they are introducing here for later when they bring Kong and Godzilla together. Definitely recommended. Bought the 4k version and the HDR is stunning via my xbox one s and 4k tv.

The best ‘Kong’ version yet! Great casting, phenomenal cinematography, the Score for this rendition is amazing. Purchased 4K with digital download. Best Buy had it on special. Couldn’t pass it up.
