Great slant on the original film. I especially enjoyed how they now try to help Kong and the ending is great!

I have seen this movie before, but this time I watched it on my 65in lg oled. Visually this film is hard to beat. The 4k ultra HD is stunning.

THIS IS A GREAT NEW VERSION OF THE KONG STORY --- WELL DONE AND EXCITING. SOME HAVEN'T BEEN. BUT THIS IS DIFFERENT.

I really liked the movie, the acting is awful. But the creature/monster scenes are spectacular. Good headliner for the proposed Monster Verse.

This was given as a gift and I have not seen it. Dad said this was everything he expected and enjoyed the movie

Not bad for a rainy evening with a big bowl of popcorn. Probably would be better in 4K, however, with Atmos audio.

Watching this in 4k made my gonads shine...its more fun than rubbing movie popcorn butter on your tube steak

I enjoyed this movie in the theaters and when I saw it on sale I couldn't resist picking it up. Great deal!

The film opens with John C. Reilly's character as a young WWII fighter pilot. His fight with a Japenese fighter pilot has devolved to hand-to-hand after both their planes crash on a mysterious island. The two are engaged in a fight to the death, which is interrupted by the titular character. It is later established that the two became friends as they learned to survive on the island over the course of many years. It's a backstory evocative of Enemy Mine, which was a movie that centered around this very premise. It's a premise I would have loved to have seen as the main plot in this movie. The main plot is derivative, but effectively strings together all of the action centerpieces. The characters are established well enough, but few have much to do outside of simply being creature fodder. As previously mentioned, John C. Reilly's character is the most interesting and the most appealing. The visual effects are fantastic with 100% hand animated creatures by Industrial Light & Magic. No motion capture to be had here, which makes for deliciously over the top animation reminiscent of Ray Harryhausen's work. The score is serviceable with interesting theme ideas by Henry Jackman. The cinematography is another highlight with clever and focused camera angles that clearly show massive battles between creatures the size of buildings. This must've been a challenged considering the wide screen scope that was used.

This is a great movie to add to your movie collection. This is a different but good version of King Kong.

Entertaining movie. I liked it better than Peter Jacksons version. This movie wasnt based on the original. Great special effects and graphics.

Recently was given my 1st Blu-Ray player so am adding to my movie collection. Luckily this movie was on sale!

KING KONG THIS GOES BACK MANY MANY YEARS AGO PLENTY OF GOOD KING KONG MOVIES GREAT ACTORS AND ACTRESSES

First off the bundle comes with 4K and 3d. The plot of the movie was awesome right along with the action.

...Samuel Jackson staring of King Kong just sends the shivers up your spine. Loved the movie!

Amazing continuation of the King Kong story. Great special effects and it looks amazing in bluray.

Very good movie. Loved it at the movies so I bought it and thought it kept my interest and kept moving.

If you didnt like the previous one that came out before this well give this one a chance so much better.

This movie had lots of action adventure and drama. The animation was great and great picture quality.
