It's a finicky contraption, to say the least. But it does work well.

I bought this for my wife despite the reviews of people not liking the product, not easy to use or too difficult to clean. We have not experienced any of those complaints. The rollers are terribly easy to use, cleaning is a bit of a chore but it really isn't that bad. I spend about 10 minutes getting all three attachments as clean as new.
Great product, works wonderfully as advertised and my wife was very happy with it. It was expensive but worth it thus far.

I had no idea it would be so easy to make my own (gluten free) pasta! This attachment is perfect and was so easy to use. I plan to use this very frequently instead of buying dried pasta from the store.

I'm making much better pasta since I got this machine. We had been wanting it for years but $200 is too much to pay. When it went on sale we pulled the trigger.
I think the better quality is due to the higher pressure the rollers apply compared to a hand cranked machine. The instructions say use speed setting 3 for rolling. I think that is right.

the pasta roller stopped rolling after less 20 uses. unfortunately it's past 1 yr warranty. contact Kitchenaid customer service and it'd cost more to fix it than purchasing a new one.
very expensive pasta factor in the cost of this accessory. made in USA? don't see any advantage
