Kubo and the Two Strings will captivate you from the opening scene and will hold on as you follow the main character in his thrilling quest to save his family and solve the mystery of his fallen father. He battles gods and monsters, and you'll enjoy the ride the whole way.

I love this movie - it's awesomely written, great voice actors, and visuals are on point. It's a little dark, though...so if you have little (or big) humans around that are easily frightened, you might want to preview it yourself to make sure they'll be ok.

If you're into singing and dancing animals, this one isn't for you. Much like "Coraline," this is a movie that kids can watch, but definitely not a "kids' movie." Easily one of the best animated movies I've seen in years. The animation is great with a strong story line.

I cried on some of the scene. But it's really cool and legendary. I tried watching it to a low quality video but then I realized that it's a beautiful masterpiece, I stopped watching it and buy a blu ray to appreciate the move more. I recommend it to everyone.

Maybe not quite for children though and not up to Miyazaki's standards, but overall a really enjoyable movie. The 3D version is definitely worth the purchase. Just curious why no 4K version was offered.

The stop-motion animation, production values, Oscar-Nominated costumes and the excellent BD 3-D effects for Kubo should have won Best Animated Film instead of the trite Zootipia~~ sho buz 5 STARS

This animated movie grabbed my attention immediately. As Kubo says at the beginning, " if you must blink, blink now". I loved how the ancient art of origami paper folding was used in weaving Kubo's story of his family's history. I do not believe one must be a child to find pleasure in watching this movie. As for myself I have already watched it more than once. I hope others will find it as entertaining as I have.

Boy is Kubo and the Two Strings a terrific movie! Must be based on an old Japanese folk-tale. The animation and voice cast are wonderful, especially Charlize Theron. The 3-D presentation is excellent. Make it a point to see Kubo, you will be happy you did.

I think this movie is a true work of art, from the animation style and character design to the story, music and voice acting. I was less impressed by the 3D conversion. It was not very immersive, and really did not add much if anything to the movie.

Really good movie with an original storyline. I bought this version because of the 3D and it did not disappoint. Although I would love to have the option of buying a 4k movie bundle with 3D. It sucks having to choose between 4k and 3D when I buy a movie.

Was not expecting to enjoy this movie as much as I did. The animation was superb and seamless. I do not recall seeing the trailers, yet I decided to purchase the movie. Recommended for those who like animation with a wonderful, yet simple story. Cheers.

Great movie for older kids and adults, My 4 yr old boy lost interest and seemed bored. The thematic elements were geared toward an older audience. He did like the "monkey". The animation style and soundtrack were great. I can see why the oscar buzz!

I really like this movie. Once I saw that this and Coraline were getting re-released on blu-ray I had to grab them. Can't wait to get Boxtrolls and Paranorman.

This movie is great and on a much larger scale than the other 3 Laika movies, but seems a little to slow in a lot of places and the 3D effects are practically not that noticable. But still a must have entry. Box Trolls is still there best to date.

Laika hit a home run with this, its third film. A stunning animated tale of a boy who teams up with a monkey and man-beetle as he prepares to do battle with his grandfather, The Moon King. If you've already seen Moana, this is the next film to watch.

I had not seen this film in the theater, but the price on the Blu-Ray was really good, so I took a chance. This film is amazing! Beautiful to look at and brilliantly made, it well worth a look! The disc is gorgeous, with terrific sound and visuals.

We just love this movie and had to buy it when it was available We have a 4 year old and this is a little too intense we think for her but we were amazed by the art, the story and how well it all flowed together Very enjoyable and recommended

As I fan of claymation, I was very surprised to see this on the shelf when i was walking by! I picked up the 3D version of the movie and was not disappointed. The story was very fantasy and fun, and the 3D effects were fun and enjoyable as well.

This is an excellent movie for almost every age. It would probably be frightening for the 5-and-under crowd. The story is excellent like most of Laika's work. Shocker: This is stop-motion rather than computer generated. Truly and achievement!

Claymation of an unreal degree. There should have been more extras showing how they did all the effects. Good movie, good story and a twist or two. Might be a few scary scenes for little kids but if watched with an adult, they should be fine.
