The Kyvol HD3 is an overall very nice product. It's very simple to use and very quite when operating. It also has a great range of mist that it creates, depending on the room size. One issue with is the top of the machine, which is essentially a directional nozzle. It does not fully seal to the base the the machine, resulting in mist coming out of the crevices and not entirely our of the nozzle (which is the intention of the component). If not for that, it would be 5 star.

Works well but I needed a much bigger unit. Good for small bedroom.

Great for a medium sized bedroom! I have this humidifier in the master bedroom of my mountain home in Colorado. For anyone who has ever been to the mountains with elevation above 8000 feet, you know how dry the air gets which causes bloody noses, headaches etc. This humidifier exceeded my expectations in producing a dialed in amount of humidity to the air in my roughly 350 square foot bedroom. It has a small form factor but holds a decent amount of water (just over a gallon) to run for 3 nights at 8-9 hours a night before it needs a refill. It has an automatic shut off feature when the unit is dry and alerts you when it needs the refill. The water receptacle is easy to operate/open to refill and the unit is easy to clean. Of note, it is not to be used with fragrant oils which, for me, does not deter the rating. In order to reduce mold and calcium build up, I will run a tank with 85% water, 15% white vinegar once every couple of weeks as I have done with other similar products. My favorite part (other than the obvious great added humidity) is how quiet this unit operates. If it wasn't for the mist that comes out, one would not know it was on. All in all, for the price, this little gem cannot be beat!

Kyvol humidifier is a nice humidifier for a small area, it will not cover the whole home. But for me in the Northeast, any humidity in my home is good. It is lightweight, and has a very small footprint which is nice! The reservoir as it states, holds a hair more than a gallon of water and it as a carry handle on either end for ease of use. Depending on were you set the rotary dial at min-max, you'll get almost 2 days per fill. The mist that comes out of the removable/adjustable nozzle is very fine, with directions that say it should be off the floor by 12" so fo me moisture on the floor is not an issue. There are some beads inside the tank cap that says they are odor filters, I dont know if they have to be replaced yet, but so far after using it for 4 days they aren't melting away. The very best feature ia a non feature for me, there is no filter to continually replace!

Having 2 little ones in the midst of a cold bitter winter, we're dealing with chapped dry skin, colds and upping out lotion use alot this winter. We leave humidifiers running in both of their rooms overnight and now we have the Kyvol HD3 sitting in the living room. This thing looks good, is quiet and holds alot of water. It has a little indicator light that comes on if water gets low. All in all you get a great looking humidifier with a quite operation. You don't get any features like wifi or bluetooth so if you're looking for something like that I'm sure other models are available. I recommend this for what it is.

I like how quiet it works. The quality and performance is great too.Easy to clean and refill. Put out a lot of moisture.

The Kyvol Humidifier is a very nice unit. They advertise it as being whisper quiet, and it is definitely that. It will be replacing my current humidifier which is quite loud. After I finished setting up the Kyvol Humidifier, I turned it on. I wasn’t sure if it was on because I couldn’t hear anything. I knew it was working after seeing the steam mist. Setup was easy and the instructions were easy to read and understand . Overall, I’m impressed with this unit.

Winter really takes a toll on the humidity in our house.. No open windows, heater running, lots of static. So a humidifier is a necessary evil. We have used humidifiers in the past, but usually not for the best. Some leaked, others made it so hard to refill their tanks. Enter the Kyvol Ultrasonic Humidifier! Not only does it humidify the air relatively well, it has handles all over the water tank making it much easier to refill and replace. The bottom part is the ultrasonic device that produces the "steam" that humidifies the air. I say "steam" cause that's what it looks like, but in reality it is more like smoke, as it is not hot at all. The whole upper section is the water tank and outlet. On top is a vent that can be aimed anywhere you want the flow to go. We learned that it was better to use this than not. The Kyvol really helps get lots of humidity back into the air, thus eliminating the static electricity that zaps us everytime we touch the door or each other. It also helps with frizzy hair on us and the dogs. Just remember to use distilled or minimum-mineral water as it will produce a white dust if used on higher volumes of air. The volume of humidity is determined by a dial on the front and is not controlled by any type of level. We have a temperature gauge in our house that also measures relative humidity so its easy to determine if we need higher or lower. This is a great device to have during the winter or anywhere enhanced humidity is needed. Very quiet so it can be used in bedrooms too! Highly recommended!

I bought mine last year, it is quieter than expected, puts out a lot of moisture, in fact will suck the tank dry in about 10 hours if used at maximum. Generally I set it at half capacity and it nicely humidifies my room of about 160 square feet perfectly for 20 hours. So you will be filling it every day. Great unit at a reasonable price

This is my second year using this humidifier and it works like brand new! I only use it in the winter months when the air is dry. The mist is fine and cool, and works great in humidifying my small space (i.e. bedroom). Volume is enough to last throughout the night. Even multiple nights on a lower mist setting. The nozzle can be adjusted to direct the mist to a specific area. I have no complaints.

This Humidifier is ultra quiet....The tank can hold about 1.5 weeks of water to use.....I bought this for my son's room (Turn on every night but turn off during the daytime) I would recommended this Humidifier......no trouble at all.

This is a great little humidifier. Despite its small size, it holds a considerable amount of water. I was also really impressed by how long it lasted on a single tank. Set at about half power, it lasted an entire day and did an admirable job keeping my living room from being too dry. A couple minor issues I had with it: First, it needs to be at least 2 feet off the floor for the air intake to work properly. I wasn't expecting this and had to clear an end table to get it elevated high enough. Second, the piece on the top that directs the stream of moisture is pointed backward. This was sending damp air right at my wall and leaving a wet spot. This piece flips around easily enough (though it won't sit perfectly flush if you flip it), but it's bizarre that they designed it this way in the first place. These are minor complaints though. The device functions beautifully and is fairly aesthetic to boot. All in all, I'm very happy with this device.

They sent us an obviously used one with lime scale all over it. Plus the seal isn’t on and it leaks all over

Junk. Not worth buying. Cheap. Hard to fill, Loud. Returned as it was not worth it.

Living in Colorado requires a humidifier, the problem is finding good one. My great nephew gets constant bloody noses in the winter so we needed a nice quiet one and this one is great except on high. His little bionic ears can pick up the silent movement of water. What I like the best is that we can adjust the flow. There is a handle on top of the tank allowing it to be carried with ease. The tower has a smaller footprint then my other one allowing it to go just about anywhere, including nestled in the house plants.

The Kyvol - HD3 is good basic humidifier that has some features that you do not always find in an inexpensive humidifier. In review : Set up – It is not really worth going into any details, it is literally taking the unit out of the box and filling it with water. I was up and running in 2 minutes. Run time – Kyrvol states that the HD3 can run up to 75 hours but the real-world application is more like 12 to 14 hours are full power. Even at its lowest setting, I could not get more than 48 hours of operation. If you look at the manufacture’s website, Kyrvol states the run time is 13 to 75 hours. Build quality, control and features – The HD3 is well made and comparable to competing humidifiers that are more expensive. There were no issues and the fit and finish were excellent. There is a large washable air filter that you generally do not find on competing units, it will definitely help keep the unit clean. Kyrol includes a “detachable ceramic odor filter balls” that goes in the water canister. It is supposed to “eliminate peculiar smell and micro materials in the water, providing healthy cool mist.” While I cannot attest to eliminating odors in the few days I have been using the HD3, it may help cut down on hard water residue. The humidity control is a very simple turning knob. No pressure sensitive buttons to break, just a straight forward , minimalistic control – excellent. Performance – Kyvol states that the HD3 can cover up to 430 Sq ft. I do not really consider that to be a realistic estimate of what size room it can cover considering the throw/mist height of about 2 to 3 feet and the capacity of the unit. There are a lot of factors that could affect what area a humidifier. To test the capability, I compared the humidity in a room with a sensor that was 18 feet away. The total area in that room is about 400 sq ft. After a run time of 12 hours, the humidity rose from 22% to 33% but never went higher. I then put the HD3 in my bedroom ( 16 X 14) for the same period of time and it raised the humidity from 22% to 42% in the same run time. As stated there are a lot of factors and variables that can affect this but it was a noticeable difference. I think if you keep the Kyrvol HD3 in a room that is under 250 sq ft, you will be very happy. Sound – The HD3 is very quiet and is comparable to most units on the market. You really cannot hear it running unless you are close by. In conclusion, I like the Kyvol - HD3 humidifier. It checks all the important boxes and does an excellent job. Recommend - 4 stars.

Combination of dry winter air and forced heat is a recipe for dry nose and throat in the mornings. Our previous humidifier stopped working so we have beennlookongbto replace it. We had the opportunity to try the Kyvol HD3 Ultrasonic Humidifier. The few things that impressed with this unit don't really outweight the problems i have with it. First the things that I liked. 1. It's quiet. I have to get really close to hear it running. 2. Small footprint. For 1.2gal capacity it doesn't take up too much space. 3. Autoshut off to prevent atomizer damage (but most humidifiers I have used do this) 4. Green LED (blue LEDs in the bedroom suck) And that's pretty much it. The single biggest problem I have with it is that it's Bottom fill. I have yet to not have water drip all over the place when refilling this unit. I usually keep a gallon of distilled water next to the unit but refilling is dicey without a steady hand. The top diverter is a bit of a pain to remove. I have to have a towel on hand to mop up all the spilled water. Also It's hard to tell how much water there is left in the tank due to the condensation buildup on the top clear plastic. The humidifier does a decent job in keeping the moisture level in the room from going arid, but biggest con for me outweigh the pros for a humidifier. My next unit will not be a bottom fill.

This humidifier gets the job done! It is great when you are feeling unwell, and it is super easy to use. Even on the highest setting it lasts for a long time before you need to refill it. I use it in my bedroom, throughout the night, and it is quiet enough to sleep through the gentle humming. I would definitely recommend this to others who are looking for a well-priced humidifier.

This product does exactly what I needed it to do. It is easy to set up. I think it took about 5 minutes to get it all ready. I have old windows in my apartment that leak air so the air has been really dry. I have used this humidifier along with sealing the leaks and I no longer wake up with a bloody nose in the mornings. It does the trick. Highly recommend.
