I received the Kyvol HD3 Humidifier and once I removed it from the packing I was a little worried would it hold up? I was pleasantly surprised that it does. My son has a problem with acne and his dermatologist suggested we purchase a humidifier. I was in the process of researching several different brands of humidifiers when I was given the opportunity to review this Kyvol HD3 Humidifier.
It is very simple to use, you remove it from the stand (TURN OFF BEFORE YOU DO) remove the cap located on the bottom and fill with water. Kyvol suggests using filtered water so as not to have build-up in the humidifier, we use distilled water. Once you have the tank full of water you simply place it back into the stand and turn the system on. Its that simple.
It has several “speed” settings that you can use to allow just the right amount of cool mist to exit the humidifier. I must say, it really works, and it works extremely well. Wishing twenty-four hours of using the Kyvol humidifier my son’s room was noticeably different. You could literally tell the difference in the air quality in his room. He says that he sleeps better that the room doesn’t feel as “hot”. I also like the fact that this Kyvol humidifier is extremely quiet, you don’t even know its on. I also like the fact that it has a light that reminds you when the water is low and it shuts itself off when it is out of water so as not to affect the machine.
The Kyvol humidifier is very light-weight and not very noticeable. We placed it on his night stand and have had no issues with leakage. It is a very good product, and if you are in need of a humidifier, I suggest that you purchase the Kyvol-HD3 UltrasonicHumidifier.

This is a fantastic little humidifier that I use in my home office to keep things nice and breathable during the winter months.
I've been using this for upwards of a week now and it's great. It holds slightly over a gallon of water and is fairly simple in operation. You fill the tank, point the nozzle toward the center of the room and turn the dial to adjust the amount of humidification that goes in the air.
While it's running, it's silent. As long as the dial is set to about 25% of it's range, you can see the humidification mist egressing the device and going into the air and ultimately falling down before dissipating into the air. I run this on a switched outlet that I turn on and off when I start work for the day and turn off when I'm done for the day. When full the tank lasts about 2-2.5 days set at about 25% on the dial - so maintenance is low. There is a small dust filter on the bottom of the unit where air is taken in, and the unit does come with a spare in the box. Not sure what the lifetime is on this, but after the short while I've used this unit it's visually indiscernible from when it was brand new.
So far, the results have been good for me. I notice a definite difference in the quality of the air I breathe in here which has improved my overall sinus health. Once dry weather hits, I tend to have a lot of issues with sinuses, and over the short period I've had this it's been great.
Overall, for the under $50 retail price this thing is great and I am liking this more than the filter/fan based humidifier units I have in other parts of the house. I'm thinking about picking up another for other rooms in the house.

In the box is the humidifier and a detailed instruction and warning manual.
First impression, I am in love with the design. The humidifier is sleek and does not take up a lot of space.
Right out of the box, I read the instructions because I have not used a humidifier in a long time. Key things to point out, it not recommended to put it on the floor and/or on carpet. I currently have mine on my night stand and it works great. There is a small nozzle at the top that you can spin in the direction that you would like the mist to go and there is a hideaway handle to use when you are ready to refill with more water.
The product is very simple to use, add cold water, place on the stand and turn on. The instructions also state how to clean the product and it does state no essential oils. I currently don’t use them so this is not a deal breaker for me. Keep in mind that the basin that holds the water is a little heavy when filled but not too bad. I filled it and it lasted through the night. The humidifier does show a red light when the reservoir has low to no water.
Overall, I do find myself purchasing more of these for family members and for more rooms in the house in the winter time because the air in my house is really dry. 5 out of 5 stars!

The handle on the bottom broke immediately.
Clumsy to carry and fill
You had no idea what water is left in container
it IS quiet except for very slight rumbling of water entering into the bottom.. Seemed cheap and not a 2022 product.. My 1994 was a better product.

I got this humidifier because I always wake up with dry, irritated nose during winter. This humidifier has helped keep my nose moist and I now seldom wake up with stuffy nose in the morning. My bedroom is about 200 sq ft and when filled in full capacity, the water lasts the entire night (about 10 hrs) in the medium setting. If I set this at the max, the water only last for about 4-5 hours and I had to refill. The medium works well for my needs since my room is not that big. I do not mind a little white noise while sleeping but this humidifier is very quiet. I also do like that the color is gray so it blends well with my room theme and is not obtrusive.
If you are shopping for a humidifier, it is worth to try this brand. It is inexpensive, easy to use and very quiet. Having a large capacity is also a plus if you plan on using it overnight.

The machine is very quiet. Works well in smaller room like a bedroom. Filling it is a little cumbersome since you have to lift the tank off a base and turn it upside down. Also ordered it in gray color but it showed up white.

I've had this for about a week and it works very well.
Pros:
- It's so quiet you can barely hear it.
- On the max setting it will run for about 18 hrs
- Automatic shutoff when empty
- Easy to clean
- Adjustable nozzle to direct the mist
- Nice looking to leave out in clear view
- Handle on top and bottom of tank
- No filter that needs replaced
Cons:
- The tank is very wet on the top and bottom when you have to refill it so it will drip on the way to sink.
- Can not use it on carpet since the air intake is on the bottom.
Overall this is a nicely designed humidifier. The min/max knob gives you good control over the output.
I would recommend this, it was a nice upgrade to our old model.

Quiet, refreshing humidifier

The Vigoair HD3 Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier brings quiet, cool freshness to your living space. With its long-lasting runtime, large water storage capacity, and easy maintenance and care options, Kyvol’s sleek little humidifier keeps your room comfortable for a long time.
Visually, nothing stands out with the Vigoair HD except for its very minimal, compact design. It is short, gray, and kind of boring to look at, with a small, clear window at the top where the water level can be seen. When filled and plugged in, you can hardly tell that it’s there. And that’s just great! Kyvol’s little device is whisper quiet and will go unnoticed as it keeps a room feeling fresh, up to 430 square feet. The turn dial is just any easy click, strengthening the mist as you twist clockwise to max intensity. Read through the admittedly exhaustive user manual to see all the do’s and don’ts of where to place this clever little machine, but know that your room will benefit from its silent, steadfast function.
One thing I really like about the Vigoair HD3 is the ease by which you can fill and replace the water. The spout where the water is released serves as a small pinch-hole where you open the top of the device, and once removed reveals an easy to use handle for carrying your water tank. Other humidifiers expect you to hold the tank upside down as you fill it under a spout, then hold your breath while you perfectly turn it back right side up onto the device base, drip drip dripping away whenever you slightly miss your target. Not so with the Vigoair HD3! The carrying handle provides an easy, secure, and safe method to replace your water, and the fill occurs at the top of the tank not at the bottom.
Lastly, the humidifier is easy to clean and disinfect, with step-by-step instructions for daily and weekly maintenance, as well as proper storage guidelines. While I wish their was an easy way to get inside the tank itself for a more vigorous cleaning, proper routine maintenance should keep that inside as clean as it can be.
Overall, the Vigoair HD3 makes decent-sized rooms feel fresh and cool, without sacrificing much room space or disturbing you in the least. With its easy handling, maintenance, and functionality, Kyvol’s humidifier has you covered.
Full disclosure, I received this product for my honest, unbiased review.

I am impressed with the Kyvol HD3 1.2 Gal Ultrasonic Humidifier. First, the User Manual is first rate. Not only are the instructions clear they also have clear pictures so it is easy to follow. Now, there isn't a lot to do as it is a very easy machine to use. They are thorough on what not to do as well as what to do. Now, one of those not to do things is to place it on something other than a flat surface, such as on a towel, newspaper, etc. This is something I've had to do with past humidifiers as the mist really tended to settle right around the humidifier making the surface it was sitting on wet. So, I tested this out on a tile surface before I moved it into my bedroom to place on a wood nightstand. I was very surprised that the surface around and below this humidifier stayed dry. I've not had a bit of trouble since I moved it into my bedroom. It is also very quiet when operating which I wasn't expecting. I can get three nights with one fill of the tank so I extrapolate that it will go for a full 24 hours before needing to be refilled if that is what is needed. The tank is quite easy to fill and with the handle, easy to carry from the sink back to the based with no water leakage. A great feature is that it will turn itself off if the water gets too low so the motor will not burn out. You can control the amount of mist as well which is a helpful. Besides the user manual, it comes with an extra dustproof sponge as well as a cleaning brush.
I have not woken with a dry cough since I started using it which has also helped with allowing me to sleep longer. I usually have problems keeping my lungs hydrated but haven't had that problem since using this. I'm very impressed with this unit and highly recommend it.

Static Air Say Bye, Bye, Bye!

First off it is a lot quieter than others I have in my house which is 3 other units from different manufactures. This is the first ultrasonic unit I have tried and so far it has been much better than any others so far and we have been using humidifiers for more than 20yrs! This one we put in our bed room which is 20ftx16ft which I believe is bigger than the recommended size room. We run it 24/7 in this big of a room and I can tell you it has made a bigger difference than others we have tried in this space. The tank is huge, we run it on high at night and about 3/4 during the day so a tank last about 6hrs at night and close to 8hrs during the day. We have gotten a 15 to 20 percent increase in humidity in the room as to where others have only helped less than 15 percent and believe me that little extra helps keep the static away.
To fill the tank it does require it to be removed from the base so you will need paper towel are something to hold under it to catch the water from getting on the floor. we also use filtered water which helps keeping the unit clean or easier to clean. The unit also has an odor filter to help if you use tap water and a small air filter which only keeps out big particles.
Some other brands I've tried make gurgling sounds (air bubbles) which are noticeable but for me this one is mostly nonexistent or not as loud. If you fill the tank all the way up it really seems to make a difference in how much air bubbles you do get but there has to be some bubbles or the water wouldn't come out of the tank, science 101 right!
I would recommend this unit for every room in the house unless you like the static air, dry skin, chapped lips, dry nose holes that come with your heater during the winter.

Excellent Humidifier - Helps with dry air

The Kyvol Ultrasonic Humidifier has been a blessing so far. I picked this up to try and help with the dry air in my house. We have forced air coming up through the vents and in the winter/colder months when the heat is on it's always harder to breathe at night and I wake up all congested and sometimes with a sore throat. I also have moderate asthma so winter/colder months have always been an issue for me. Since using this the past 4 days, I have had better sleep, no sore throat, and no dry cough from the heat.
I have had other humidifiers in the past, mostly the cheap ones and while they do help, they are loud and noisy. I keep mine close to the bed since I want it to help while I sleep, so having a noisy unit is not a good thing. This Kyvol brand one is ultra quiet. I was suprised actually by how quiet it is. It was also very easy to setup. Just unpack out of the box, and read the quick start instruction booklet. But honestly, you don't need that if you have any experience with humidifiers. Just remove the water reservoir, unscrew the cap to the water reservoir, fill with cold water, return cap, plug in, and turn the knob to the on position.
I have not had a reason to clean the item yet, but it comes with a cleaning brush, and a charcoal scrub pad. All humidifiers require cleaning so that is irrelevant to this brand. Just make sure you are on top of the cleaning as well and the unit will hold up for you.
Overall very satisfied. I have no complaints.

Stylish Ultrasonic Humidifier

I have always been mesmerized by the silent vapor cloud from ultrasonic humidifiers and the Kyvol HD3 is not different.
The HD3 holds 4.5 liters of water and has a smart stylish design. It has a variable mist control knob but does not have a humidistat. There is a sponge filter on the bottom of the unit and a replacement is included. There is also a cleaning brush. Attached to the filling cap is a container of beads that are supposed to help with odor. The instructions do not speak to the odor filter regarding future replacement.
Like most humidifiers, the nozzle rotates to direct the mist. Under the nozzle on this model there is a handle you can use to carry the container, however, this whole compartment along with the handle gets pretty wet from use.
My electric furnace is brutal at drying out my apartment in the winter time but the Kyvol HD3 has been able to increase and maintain the humidity in my 300 square foot living room. There are no output specifications listed but in my use, a full tank will last 15 hours on high. This equates to about 10 ounces of water output each hour.
Depending on the mineral content of your water, ultrasonic humidifiers are notorious for leaving a white mineral residue. I have not noticed this yet with the Kyvol. Switching to filtered or distilled water can help if you experience this.
I give the Kyvol HD3 Ultrasonic Humidifier five stars, it is competitively priced and very stylish. I would recommend it to a friend.
