Movie was good but way over hyped. I do like that it was a nod to the classic musicals of the era

reminds me of the great ballroom movies from the fifties , only in full HDR color. Great acting

I love musicals! This one left a lot to be desired. I had been told this was kinda a "Jazzy" rendition in the style of "Singing In the Rain". Not even close. The music was just ok and the singing was really bad. I kept hoping it would get better but it never did. For the story line I would say it was just "ok" there wasn't anything that really grabbed my attention and the people I watched it with fell asleep. I was very disappointed because of all the awards it was nominated for made me expect the movie to be much better than it was. There are enough actors/actresses in Hollywood who have also done Broadway that this could have been a very good movie. (Or it had the potential to be a much better movie). The best part of the movie was at the VERY end when they paid homage to previous movie musicals. I enjoyed that a lot, but that just shows how bad I thought the movie was.

My 10 year old enjoyed the theme of this movie. It was interesting.

Ok entertainment and pretty accurate view of the environment. Liked the cast.
