In my opinion, La La Land was a pretty good, artsy musical movie. Although this is not my "type" of movie, it was pretty entertaining and i though both Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling did a great job. Really, i would give the movie closer to 3.5 stars and the only reason i wouldn't recommend to a friend is because my friends aren't into musicals.

I saw 82 movies in 2016 and I can say that La La Land, right above H*ll or High Water, was without a doubt the best film of the year. It was fun, energetic, emotional, stylish, and ultimately unforgettable. I'm not a fan of musicals, but this blew me away

I enjoyed this movie, especially the beginning. Bought this for $10 blu ray at Best Buy . Should have won for picture of the year. Love the singing , music and dancing . Great acting & loved Emma Stones character. Entertaining for the whole family .

My wife wanted me to watch this and to my surprise I really ENJOYED it! I usually don't like musicals but this was very nostalgic and unlike anything I've seen before. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to see something classic and original.

A beautiful film about dreams and what you are willing to give up in order to achieve them. The steelbook in particular is really beautiful, capturing a moment from one of the most powerful scenes in the movie. it could almost be framed on the wall!

Please do not read or go by the reviews. It is a nice musical love story but at the same time it is good for those who are going to keep their expectations low. I read the reviews first and felt that there will be some great visuals in the movie, there weren't any to meet my expectations. Overall a nice movie made with a good heart.

An excellent and fun movie. Great songs and choreography. A very simple story but well acted by its two leads, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. A great film to watch when you're having a bad day - it will put a smile on your face and a spring in your step.

Ok, it’s a chick flick. Opening scene almost lost me, but the story is engaging, and kept me guessing. Then I realized, I was being entertained, not by CIG, but the talents of the actors, the story and the quality of production. No. Not a revival of musicals but it did have me tapping my foot. LaLa Land was a very colorful movie. The pace was a little slow and the dancing kind of fake because it was obvious the main characters were not dancing in some of the scenes but instead doubles. I got it because it won so many Academy Awards but after seeing it I was shocked that it won so many awards. The movie Fences was much better.

The story is good. The acting is good. However, the main reason this film will stand the test of time is in its technical and creative execution. Teachers will be showing a couple of the film's set pieces in cinema classes for decades to come.

I bought the movie after hearing reviews from my brother and seeing the review online,and despite some doubt, it was a better movie then i was expecting, the cast is amazing together and the songs get stuck in your head for the rest of the day

The story is a classic and realistic with exceptional acting, beautiful cinematography and a sound track you can listen to over and over again. Family friendly, watched it with my kids from 7 to 18 years old and they all enjoyed it and hum the songs

This movie is flat out fun. It's such a tribute and throwback to the old song-and-dance movies and musicals in so many ways, and the fact that it is set in modern times with a modern story makes it all the more loveable. This is a must-watch.

This is truly one of the best musicals I've ever seen. I enjoyed it so much, especially all of the callbacks to older Hollywood musicals. The soundtrack has been on repeat in our home ever since we left the theater. Can't recommend this one enough!

Amazing movie that made me fall in love with musicals again comes back with a 4K steelbook case! Beautiful artwork and the cant wait to watch this movie again!

If you have 4k and HDR specifically and a good surround sound system, then this is an amazing movie for the home. The music is great, acting is always good with these two and the color palate on 4k HDR simply makes this movie a treat for the eyes and the sound a treat for the ears! Makes even non-jazz lovers appreciate the genre!

My husband really like this movie for the lighting and aesthetic of the scenes, which was very well done. I liked it for the singing and story, but I was disappointed in the ending. I'm not going to give any spoilers, but I felt no reason for the film to go the direction it did except that that's the way the writer wanted it to go.
