That thing where you’re way over-excited for a movie and you’re worried you’re setting yourself up for disappointment and then it’s even better than you imagined and you want to watch it a hundred more times.

The story is good. The acting is good. However, the main reason this film will stand the test of time is in its technical and creative execution. Teachers will be showing a couple of the film's set pieces in cinema classes for decades to come.

I bought the movie after hearing reviews from my brother and seeing the review online,and despite some doubt, it was a better movie then i was expecting, the cast is amazing together and the songs get stuck in your head for the rest of the day

This movie is flat out fun. It's such a tribute and throwback to the old song-and-dance movies and musicals in so many ways, and the fact that it is set in modern times with a modern story makes it all the more loveable. This is a must-watch.

The story is a classic and realistic with exceptional acting, beautiful cinematography and a sound track you can listen to over and over again. Family friendly, watched it with my kids from 7 to 18 years old and they all enjoyed it and hum the songs

I love this film and the steelbook is a perfect way to collect it. Besides the steelbook, the blu ray quality itself is great.

This is truly one of the best musicals I've ever seen. I enjoyed it so much, especially all of the callbacks to older Hollywood musicals. The soundtrack has been on repeat in our home ever since we left the theater. Can't recommend this one enough!

If you have 4k and HDR specifically and a good surround sound system, then this is an amazing movie for the home. The music is great, acting is always good with these two and the color palate on 4k HDR simply makes this movie a treat for the eyes and the sound a treat for the ears! Makes even non-jazz lovers appreciate the genre!

My husband really like this movie for the lighting and aesthetic of the scenes, which was very well done. I liked it for the singing and story, but I was disappointed in the ending. I'm not going to give any spoilers, but I felt no reason for the film to go the direction it did except that that's the way the writer wanted it to go.

I loved every minute of La La Land. I know that I will watch this movie over and over. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling have a wonderful relationship, and entertain us with their beautiful dancing. Very refreshing to see a different kind of love story.

Not only is La La Land beautifully shot, the story and musical numbers unfold in such a natural way that even non-fans of musicals can become entranced in its execution. Not to mention Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone just shine with perfect chemistry.

I've never been a fan of musicals (save The Sound of Music...who doesn't like that movie? LOL) but in my old age, I've been appreciating musicals more. I really enjoyed this film and was surprised that my wife (who I know likes plays and musicals) didn't. I like the minimalist design of this SteelBook.

This movie intrigued me, on the fence about seeing it but once I did I fell in love with it. Visuals are amazing, acting is superb, and the story really draws you into the characters. I think this is a must own for anyone who loves movies

This is such a great movie and wonderful to experience it in 4K for the first time. The picture is excellent as well as the Dolby Atmos sound!

I'm a tough sell when it comes to musicals. This movie however is a definite exception to that rule. The story line was engaging and the performances were very good. The video quality and sound on the Blu Ray were excellent and lived up to all expectations. I can see why this movie won so many Academy Awards.

This movie was a great kickback to the movie musicals from the 50s/60s. The musical number were pleasing to the ear and you can see why this earned Emma Stone an Academy Award. If you like musicals and have seen The Greatest Showman for the 500th time and want a little break, this is a good one to watch.

Normally, I don’t do reviews, because, I have seen so many movies, not liked by critics, and I found them to be excellent. This is one of those where the critics and I have been on the same page. Well acted with excellent directions.

La La Land is a very unique movie musical. Great music and great story. The collectible steelbook case is awesome for fans of the movie and it has an exquisite cover art that fits with the movie. A must buy for those who are fans of musicals.
