Terrific film. It somehow manages to walk the line between old and new. It's definitely a throwback to old Hollywood musicals, but the story seems a bit more heartfelt and sincere than some of the glossy musicals of the past. My 22 year old son - who has no use for most musicals (his loss!) - loved it and thought it was one of the best films of the year. On a technical note -- gorgeous blu-ray! Beautifull colors and razor-sharp hi-def images. The sound is very rich and full -- the music sounds great -- and there are a good selection of informative extras to round it out. High reccommended!

This movie was masterfully shot, choreographed, written, scored and acted. It's about dreams and it's beautiful struggles. It's one of the best movies of the past 10 or so years. It hardens back to Golden Age cinema with a contemporary feel while paying homage to classic film and music (particularly Jazz). It's funny, dramatic and heartfelt. The Steelbook edition makes it all the more wonderful. It's pure pearl white design with shades of blue give it an old vinyl cover look. The interior artwork mirrors the disc art. This is just an amazing set. Enjoy it every time you see it.

I'm not the biggest fan of musicals, but every so often, there are a couple that catch my eye and heart, and La La Land is one of those films. While I disagree with this winning Best Director over Arrival (a far more important piece of cinema), the sheer brilliance of La La Land's heart and soul is astounding, and heartfelt in the greatest way possible. If you don't fall in love with the film, with the performances or the outstanding showmanship of the movie's production qualities, I'm not sure what there is to love. Add this to your collection immediately.

My wife really doesn’t like this film. Hell I can’t remember if I like it, but one can’t deny the chemistry between the excellent leads and I’m a sucker for a beautiful steelbook so here we are…and what a nice steel it is! The dual design with the slip sleeve is very nice. Slight misalignment in mine but nothing too impactful. Overall pleased with the purchase.

i loved the interaction between the two stars, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. The Dance routines are reminiscent of the old days of Fred Astaire and fun to watch. While Ryan doesn't have the greatest voice, the vocals were pleasant to the ear. The story kept my interest from beginning to end. Overall the music was great and flowed nicely as the drama unfolded. I highly recommend this film. The Ultra HD, HDR video print was great.

I absolutely love this steelbook release of La La Land. The film and its respective blu ray are already excellent, but the packaging really levels it up. My slipcover came warped, but putting it on my shelf helped flatten that out. Remember that Lionsgate doesn’t use Movies Anywhere, so you have to use a different redeem site, which sucks.

I don't normally watch musical, but when I do it means that I really like it. This one is a great movie. Picture quality is great especially the use of HDR. Sound is also great. Highly recommend it. Plus Lions Gate 4k bluray steels never fails to amuse me. Very nice cover art. This company is knocking it out of the park when it comes to their releases.

I was a tad leary about this one as I am not a huge musical movie fan but, with all the award show chatter and winnings, I figured I'd give it a go. Honestly, I found this very pleasant, fun, and well put together for being a musical. Nothing overly done and besides a small twist at the end (that wasn't what I wanted to happen), this would be a great movie for anyone wanting to try musicals on for size. Gosling and Stone have great chemistry on screen and the costumes were perfectly done. Family of all ages could enjoy this one!

We all know about the hype around this movie, 14 Oscar Nominations and all that. So how can you not go into this movie and have incredibly high expectations?! Yet from the very first scene of this movie you'll understand why: it's happy and colourful, puts a smile on your face and makes you want to hum along to the songs and score of this musical. I bought the album right after watching the movie. And don't forget to watch all the wonderful special features and you'll come to realize how incredible this film was in the making!

A fantastic film with an even better steelbook. I honestly didn't expect to like this film, because I'm not big into musicals, but I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. Genre aside, it's hard not to love a film with Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. I would definitely recommend this film.

Saw this in theaters didn't go in with high expectations and when the movie was down done I was surprised how good it was. Visual effects are stunning. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling's chemistry is surreal. After all this is the there third collaboration together. The first two being Gangster Squad and Crazy, Stupid Love(also available at Best Buy) The steelbook is absolutely beautiful. If you plan on picking up a copy get the version over the other standard editions. The music is great and catchy. Great for all ages!

"La La Land" is an homage to the golden age of Hollywood musical, and is correspondingly so, a film that looks and sounds spectacular. Thankfully, the film was given a fittingly spectacular render and the blu-ray disc has a high-quality output. As for the steelbook itself, it—like most steelbooks—features a minimalistic design, which I personally prefer. Ultimately, whether you're a blu-ray collector or simply a fan of the film, this product is worth the purchase.

I have never watched a movie that has made me more emotional, than La La Land. The music alone gives me chills and tears. The story of dreamers is very touching, along with the chemistry and story between Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling.This is a must see! The steelbook is a beautiful white, with blue piano keys on the back and cast on the front, like the movie poster. It goes along with the movie theme perfectly and looks gorgeous. Its glossy and includes DVD, Blu-ray, and digital! Amazing movie and deal.

This movie is in my top 5 favorite movies of all time. The design for the Steelbook is second to none unfortunately the 4K transfer of the movie doesn’t do it justice so if you decide to buy it I would recommend you watch the Blu-ray Disc it does a better job of showing off the colors

This movie had me hooked for weeks, after seeing it the first time in theaters by myself, I went and saw it two more times again by myself. (Keep in mind, I am a 225 pound man with a full grown beard) while this movie isn't up to par with the old classic musicals from the Golden Age of Hollywood, this film has a great sense of its own identity and pokes fun at its own cliches. Superb acting and has immediately crept into my top ten films of all time! Believe the hype, if you have a sensitive side!

La La Land is a must for anyone who appreciates the great Hollywood musicals of bygone days. Ryan Gossling and Emma Stone are excellent and even though neither is a real singer, they do well in their musical numbers. The music score is fabulous with a couple of jazz pieces as the highlights. The HDR image is bright, sharp and very colorful. This is a movie that will hold up on repeat viewings.

Ive never seen this movie until i purchased this steel book. its a great steel book set with beautiful art work. totally worth 20 bucks. these should be the standard for 20 dollars you should get all three versions of the movie (4k, bluray, digital) and a hard case not some cheap plastic case. makes it more collectable.

This is simply a fun movie, beautiful and emotional evoking (more on that). I love going back to a bit of fantasy, dreamy, musical type movies. This is not meant to be real, imitate life, or fully transport the viewer to another world. This is meant to be taken in, and let the music and images envelope you like a big warm hug, and it does that wonderfully. I found myself smiling a lot while watching it, and wishing at times I could just break out in song (in traffic of course).

Really enjoyed this film. While it certainly is a throwback and tribute to old Hollywood musicals, it has a fresh contemporary feel too. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling are terrific in their roles, and the bittersweet finale really makes the film and sets it apart from the musicals of the past. The blu-ray is excellent! Stunning picture quality and sound that does justice to some terrific tunes. You'll have City Of Stars running through your head for days. Highly reccommended!
