Classic Jim Henson. Soundtrack is wonderful as is the steel box. Only complaint is that on a 60" 4k TV it is more than a bit grainy in spots, but other stuff pops. Wouldn't recommend unless one didn't own the bluy-ray.

Definitely an improvement over the dvd but not worth the money for 4k. Id stick with the blu.

Let me start by saying this is one of my favorite movies. David Bowie? Amazing, Brilliant performance! However the 4K transfer is absolutely subpar and looks awful. It looks worse than 1080P. Looks like they blew up a 480i transfer. Seriously I thought I was watching a VHS transfer. And it distracts from an incredible movie. Sound quality was impressive. I rarely give negative reviews but this one justifiably deserves it. Not recommended. Keep your old 1080P or VHS copy.

Let's face it: this is not a good movie, and the effects are dated, but you have baby Jennifer Connelly, package-wielding David Bowie singing and dancing, and a horde of ridiculous puppets. How can you go wrong?

I am not a fan of this movie, but my wife loves it. I got it for her for $10 so she could have the remastered Blu-ray version with the little book. She seemed to like. Buy it, I guess?

This is a classic movie thats good but in short it falls short the 4K is not stunning and the sound could have been re encoded for better quality just a tad bit better then blue ray .

Its a decent transfer for a cult film. If anyone is looking for quality, you may want to hold out for a later release, but if you just wanna enjoy it as a rental. Its worth looking into.

Same great movie but not sure it needed the 4K installment as the 4K is basically up-scaling the original and doesn't really show what true 4K resolution can look like.

The price was certainly acceptable for this DVD, but I've always felt that the movie was lame. This was a purchase for my daughter - I didn't have to subject myself to it. :)

This is such a classic and one of Jim Hinsens odd master pieces of the 80s ! it was worth it for the deal of the day at 14.95. It does not look like 4K though.

Had to get use to the grainy look. Not sure if I had all the settings right on tv. I have 4k player and tv. Just thought it would have had a sharper image.

Shortly after I bought this they announced an Anniversary Edition coming out later this year with a lot more bonus features and hopefully a new transfer.

I found this older film to be fun and a little over the top. Some parts of the film you are just wondering how they come up with some of this creepy stuff.

were it not for Jim Henson and George Lucas, this movie would leave a lot to be desired. good fairy tale story akin to Alice in Wonderland.

I love the fairy tale, and is a classic with Davis Bowie he make a good character in the movie

This film really shows its age but it is still fun to watch with this 40th anniversary edition.

Not one of my favorites, but with Bowie's recent untimely passing and the packaging on this collector's edition it was worth it.

You can only get so much from so little. It wasn't filmed in 4K so there is only so much they can do. Paying for 4K was a waste.

Great 80s film. Not one of the best from the era, but I'm sure it will drum up some nostalgia. Also, a must for Bowie fans.

I was foreverd to watch this movie by my girlfriend. We all know how that goes. It was actually pretty good. Give it a watch.
