Love the multiple interfaces and silent operation

I was immediately impressed with everything about this product from packaging to build quality to setup and performance. This drive is very solid. It sits sturdy on the desk when I use the power switch. It runs smoothly and is quiet. I am ordering another identical drive as a backup for the backup. I have been using several smaller external drives believing it is safer in case a drive breaks down. But I have changed my opinion and will be using a pair of these 4GB drives and just use the smaller drives with my Macbook Pro.

LaCie d2 Quadra 4TB excellent backup drive

I have 5 of these drives, and use them for backing up my boot drive and storing pictures and video files. So far they work great.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this hard drive at several different locations and because my biggest obstacle is connecting to multiple computers, this works out great. USB 3 works with both my new computers and my old computers and firewire 800 with older computers at work. I haven't had a problem with this at all and the read/write speeds are excellent. I had a g drive before that crashed on me and my older Lacie drive is still running strong.
