Never crashes top notch hard drive. Lacie is the industry standard and it is evident when you use one. I highly recommend LaCie hard drives. Great deal for the money. Lightning connectors are fast and make ease of use. Best Buy has had great deals on these hard drives. I plan to pick up s few more.

All is good and it is working just like I thought it would. I hope it will continue once I get more test time on it.

The speed on this drive is a joke compared to the other brands, it is well built or so I thought because the drive after 4 months of use DIED - a total waste of money , company's response we can retrieve your data for $900 like seriously.. so I went with Apple products and have NOT had any issues since almost a year now and the airport time capsule is working like a charm the way a backup drive should be

This hard drive is great for backing up all types of files. I use it to back up all my digital pictures. With 1 TB of space, I shouldnt run out of space anytime soon. I should have gotten the SSD version which would have been a lot faster but it wouldnt have had the 1 TB of space and would be a lot more expensive. It is a good value for the price though.

Drive doesn't always show up. Have to reinsert drive until drive connects to computer

My new go to. If you're looking for an external I would pick this up very reliable

I bought this drive to keep all the video footage I shot for a tv show pilot safe. Had to ship it many states away and there were no problems at all. Awesome and sturdy drive I must say.

I purchased this along with a WD, and looking back I would've skipped the WD purchase and picked up another LaCie. The only problem I had with the LaCie is the storage with only 1 TB at the time. Overall great purchase.r

This is my first solid state external hard drive. It was easy to use. It was nice to have a silicone skin to protect it.

I purchase this drive to transfer video files off of my Mac to free up space. So far so good. It was a quick and painless setup and I was transferring files within minutes of plugging the drive in.

I don't give u the 5 star only because i wish the thunderbolt cord were 5 inch longer

Great hd to have. Thunderbolt makes things a lot fast.

I upgraded to the LaCie because my other Thunderbolt backup device was having issues. The LaCie saves 800MBs of data in maybe 45 secs. It has made keeping my Mac backed up a basically invisible routine.

This external drive is plug and play. Sooo easy to use. It was exactly what I wanted just drag the file to the icon and that's it! Can be used with both mac and PC!

This hard drive is not very fast. Usb 3 hard drives are faster.

The Lacie Rugged drive is a good all pour pose fast thunderbolt capable drive. But can also be used with usb 3.0 so it has versatility.

Love the rugged construction of the drive. Provides an extra layer for protection of important files.

I found it to be very easy to use, after I found out you had to format the drive just ask some questions on that and away you go

Purchased this to store movies for traveling. No power supply so it is easy to use. Keeps the limited space on my Mac Book Pro from being clogged up with movies.
