good hard drive for back up

I was in a rush and the box didn't have the speed once i got home i realised it was to slow but still use it for back up.

Other than that it is a good drive and read:write speeds are so so.

Slow hard drive

Because it has a thunderbolt connection I thought I could make it into a bootable hard drive. Nope and it won't do it via the usb connection either. I would have returned it but I waited too long for Best Buy's policy.

LaCie thunderbolt storage drive 2tb

Specifications wrong
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The specifications listed on Best Buy's website state that the drive is compatible with Apple MacOS X 10.5 or later, but the packaging says 10.9 or later. Therefore, the setup software will not launch on my computer. I'm sure the drive itself works fine, but I will have to return it. (I have my reasons for not updating my OS. Will probably set up a dual-boot soon.)
