Easy setup and operation

I was up and running in less than five minutes. The drive has performed flawlessly since. I use this with an Apple iMac.

Reliable, but a bit slow

They’re reliable, but you do have to pay attention to specs. This isn’t one of their faster drives. It was purchased last minute and performed perfectly, albeit somewhat slower than anticipated. Good for a backup drive, etc., but not for regularly accessing files.

Rugged But Slower Than Expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a high end Alienware and decided to copy 202GB of images to the drive and it took almost 3 hours USB-C to USB-C. I would not say this is a USB 3 when it comes to the speed. LaCie is a great brand I truly rely on, but this is a spinning platter inside a nice case with rubber on it. I could have probably made one of my own, but to be honest, this was a convenience purchase that suits my backup paranoia.

It has cords to easily connect to my laptop and so much space to put on projects and videos! Great for storing photos and old memories.

Made of Kryptonite

I can't tell you the number of times I destroyed my smart phones, laptops, and yes, portable hard drives. This thing is made out of Kryptonite
