Drive dead in 19 days

It could be accessed by Mac or Windows. GeekSquad could access either. Currently, talking with Segate about it, which seems to be going good.

Worked for 6 months, then completely died!

Now I'm out of my money and data!

They don't last long enough

This is extremely frustrating and expensive. When they work, they work great, but once they fail, they are worthless. I am not rough with them - they are not dropped or damaged or stored in adverse conditions. So, I can't really recommend this product, but still I feel the need to have a hard drive back up in addition to online or cloud back-ups.

Anything but "rugged"

Owned for 11 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This supposedly "rugged" thing died on me only a month after I bought it, when it accidentally slipped off my lap desk and fell a few short inches onto a couch cushion. Apparently, a short drop onto a soft surface was too much for its "rugged" self. Instantly, it locked up, started clicking, and was utterly unsalvageable. I've had numerous Western Digital drives that have lasted me for years through far worse accidents, and this thing couldn't survive a pillow. The claim this drive is rugged and the rubber bumper around the case are both nothing but marketing. Save yourself a headache and wasted money and buy something else.
