Rugged and dependable

Also, it's very bulky in size for an external hard drive. Like a brick almost. The orange part of it is in fact like a sleeve protector, just wish it wasn't able to peel rather it be one with the hard drive itself.

Crashed 2 months after I got it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this hard drive to store my photographs on and it worked just fine... for 2 months and 1 day... I plugged it into my Mac about a week ago and it wasn't showing up.... Long story short, after having a few friends look at it, going by the local Apple store, and calling LaCie, I will NEVER buy another product from LaCie again.

Disappointed

After setting the drive up my Mac went to a solid white screen. Shut the computer down and restarted. The drive went bad and is not recognized on my Mac or Windows PC. The drive went dead in just 15 minutes after hooking it up.
