It transferred both files and programs very impressed

It was a great program and it was also fast during the transfer

This is the worst software product I have ever used. It is no where near as simple to use as advertized. There are all kind of excuses why it is not a plug and play. My experience is that a file transfer that took 20 minutes by thumb drive, was not complete after seven and a half hours. I followed their directions, but no matter what I did this program did not work. Do not buy. It is junk.

Product was great. I had issues turning off my virus checking application so I contacted the help number. They quickly solved the issue and started the move. A few hours and everything was copied over.

My last PC was on its last legs...so I purchased it's replacement... now comes the fun part of re-imaging the new machine? Well with the software and the included cables it was a snap...set it up went to lunch and when we came back it was done!

There are many steps to this process but the software seems to do a good job. Only complaint, not a surprise, is that it only works on the first two computers it is installed on and if you take it off it cannot be reinstalled. But it does the job.

I have used pcmover on two previous occasions. This program worked well. I am very pleased to be able to transfer programs from one computer to the next without having to find the original discs and reload the programs from them.

Took a long time to get it to the place it was ready to work. First time it blue screened. I called 'free' customer support and they said for only $299 they would work with me to fix it. I said no, read up on what others had done, did that and it worked.

Had to reread the instructions twice, did not update the new computer before I tried to move the files. Once everything updated the transfer worked like a charm.

It is very important to have software available to move software and information from a failed laptop to a new laptop.

Product worked as design as it helped me transfer files from my old Dell desktop to a new HP desktop. Process was fast and efficient utilizing the transfer cable.

Does what it says it will do, but must follow directions precisely, It also created more work for me, and I didn't know it was a one-time-only usage so now I have a useless box of equipment. Hmmm...

I wanted to transfer programs from my old laptop to my new desktop. I was led to believe that it would move most of the programs without having to reinstall. Good in theory but did not work for me. Installed the program on both computers and it appeared to work well indicating what it could move and what it could not. Problems soon started when the laptop froze up and everything stopped. Called support and got a tech who offered to troubleshoot by remote access to both computers. I was on the phone for over an hour and was informed that my laptop had malware. I had scanned the computer prior to installing pc mover and it was clean. He offered a program to "fix" the problem to ensure a clean transfer but I was not going to buy another product from this company. Bottom line, I did manage to get a few things transferred but lost most of my photos and the majority of my other info. My laptop went dead and would not reboot so I am going to have to let the geek squad see if they can salvage my info. Lesson learned will let the Geek Squad trans fer the info in the future.

I'm still in the process of making sure all files were transferred over to new PC. Not pleased that it had to transfer by Wifi and not ethernet cable.

Worked rapidly - all my programs transferred over except 1 there was a problem with but I was able to resolve that quite easily.

My second time using this product because it worked so efficiently previously. It took 13 hours, but it was done while I slept & worked. Very convenient.

must have software is moving to a new pc...software transfers ALL software and licenses over to the new pc...when starting new pc no update have to be made and programs run like on old pc

PcMover works are described. I was able to move all applications, data, etc from my old PC to new without a problem. All applications worked even though it was a move from Windows 7 to 10.
