If you are comfortable with the windows operating system, this program will allow you to upgrade from older to newer versions of windows without having to re-install programs. You can skip versions; when you upgrade. It also appears to know what programs are compatible with the new operating system; if it is not, it will not be transferred or installed if up upgrade on the same machine.

I used PCMover to move data from one PC to another in a simple and easy way. Highly recommend this.

PC Mover is Easy to use and excellent new computer setup. No problem transferring settings and files from old computer to new.

The product did not work properly and is a waste of time & money. Several apps don't work and this inferior software transfered a bunch of empty file folders. Between dropbox & Onedrive a person can transfer files pretty well without wasting money on this crap. I am so SICK and TIRED of companies selling junk products. I followed the instructions and have 2 newer computers...IT DOES NOT WORK.

The HP Pavilion I have doesn't have a CD drive, but was able to download for PCMover website and proceed from there.

Transferred things that should I specifically tried to avoid which later caused problems. The cable that came with it also is useless with the new laptops. I probably should have had the geek squad do it for all the added aggravation.

When I purchased this product, it states on the box that there is 24-hour support line to assist in setting it up. When I called the person I talked to ran some tests remotely and said I needed to clear over a Gig of files on my original computer before migrating the files to the new computer. The files were duplicates, cache, temporary files, etc. I said that would be fine. He then said I needed to pay in excess of $200 for him to clear the files and that it would include a year of service to assist me on maintaining my computer system. I was not happy. It seems like a scam. He would not help me setup the software unless I agreed to purchase the service. I hung up and performed the clearing of files and migrating them to the new computer without using the software. It was essentially useless to me.

Pic mover allowed me to move all of the programs that I needed from my old computer to my new one with no problems.

Bought this product, and was very dissatisfied with the technical support (basically useless). Overall, it did not transfer as advertised, but did transfer some items.

I had no problems with this program moving all my information, it works great, so easy.
