While not flawless the software was helpful in setting up our replacement computer.

This product worked great for what I needed to do.

The product did not do what it was supposed to do, based on my interpretation of the product description. I wound up undoing the transfer and went back to the process of manual transfer and download of everything that I needed or wanted to keep. If you don't know the purpose of every file, file extension, and purpose and association of every file you will be screwed. Oh by the way, it transfers every virus on your old PC too.

It did not transfer all of my programs as it promised this was disappointing. I could have do the same transfers without the program. I had to use all my disks to reload programs ,which was suppose to happen with the program and did not

Moved programs that later had to be reinstalled. If only moving document files ok. Otherwise NO.

Overall good program, but takes a long time to transfer

I purchased this program to transfer from my Vista computer to my Windows 8 computer. After 3 days of trying it did not work. It was a waste of money.

Quite a bit over as diffmy head to use. This application was diffcult for me to understand.

Would not move my apps, and really slow to move files. A lot of files said they were corrupted after the move when they were ok on original pc

Product does not transfer Microsoft Office. If you know how copy and paste just do that, forget this product. Not worth the money.

Easy to set up transfer and everything works well.

I had a problem installing the program onto my old computer. I called the 800 number on the package for help. A recording said the number was not an active number. I then called Best Buy. They transferred me to their Geek Squad. They told me they could not help me to get a good number for the software Tech support. They said they could sell me their tech support. I buy for the company I work for. There will be No More Buying from Best Buy".

It was easy to install and worked flawlessly and the price was great too.

I bought this when I was getting a replacement desktop PC because my old one was nearing its end. I followed the instructions but could not get the program to install properly from the included CD on either computer. When I contacted LapLink all I got was run-around and was even told "you must have bought an old version" because there's no CD with the version for download. They wouldn't do anything about a replacement because I'd bought this from a store (Best Buy) and not direct from them. No offer of help, nothing. I should have heeded various negative reviews, but I got it because I really wanted it to work. In the end, it turned out I was able to get my most important programs moved over to the new PC just by contacting their makers. One that I could not get a reply from I was able to buy a new copy for much less than the price of PCmover. I wish there was a way to give this a "No Star" rating!!!!!

I’ve used this software in my business as computer technician at least 20 times over the past 5 years. It works like a charm for both in-place OS upgrades and moving programs, user files, and Windows settings from one PC to another.

Do not buy this product. Maybe it works sometimes, but it's not worth the risk. We ran it on my wife's computer. It took 8 hours. After 8 hours, it claimed the transfer had been successful. The program on the new computer, however, froze, and we could not find any of the files. We called tech support at PCmover. They couldn't explain what had happened, but promised that for another $100, they could make it work. For some reason, I fell for it After going through a series of online fixes over the last four hours, they succeeded in breaking the new computer so thoroughly, that as I type, it can't even be restored to factory settings. This is a lousy product with lousy tech support. A massive fail.

I could not get the computer to recognize the cable provided with the software. I had to use Wifi which was very slow.

Worked as intended, made moving old hd to new pc easy.

Did not transfer all programs. While easier that backing up and transferring files, some programs did migrate correctly.

Did help but need easier to understand install data
