I found this 5 blade fan to be much louder than the smaller 3 blade fan. It is sturdy and seems to be good quality, but when using it in a bedroom, it can be difficult to sleep due to the noise.

Also, from description, thought I was getting a metal fan, not plastic. The fan head lifts right off the pole, does not tighten, so really can only use in single fixed direction. But, moves a lot of air for the price, so mixed bag.
