    A charming slow burn with a twist you kinda see coming but refuse to believe as this sweet film plays. A holiday film with a serious tone but sprinkled with Christmas love.

    I bought this movie based on all the positive reviews and I wanted to see a new holiday movie last year. This movie is competently made, but the characters and story just stink. Emilia Clarke's character is too flawed to be likeable and the twist that everyone's praising is extremely hokey. The co-stars are much more likeable and elevate the movie, but not enough for me to have enjoyed it.

    Overall I enjoyed the movie, mostly for the actor's charisma. Storyline and actual acting seemed contrived and predictable. Been there, seen that etc.
