Obviously I purchased this because I like this kind of music. But, I never expected it to be played so lovely. The arrangements are great. I got lost in the music and that's why I listen to begin with.

This was a great farewell performance by the Band and guests. I just wish the Band hadn't ended there playing days so soon.

If your a fan of The Band then you will love this set.

I had long wanted to own this album, as it was Martin Scorsese's film of this very concert that introduced me to The Band, and they are now one of my favorite groups. As the songs on these CDs beautifully demonstrate, the five guys in The Band were truly exceptional musicians who could easily adapt to any singer/songwriter's style, from Joni Mitchell to Muddy Waters to Bob Dylan. And they had their own classic songs as well. The sound quality is simply outstanding, and this is a much-welcome addition to my collection.

One of the all time best in-concert CD,s ever made.

This is by far the best sound I've heard from a live CD and the booklet is beautiful and informational, the Digibook case is very nice, over-all a great CD!

The CD has a few songs cut from the movie. If you appreciate the music from this era and great musicians having fun at a jam session... you will love The Last Waltz.

Love the Band unfortunately this was their last hurrah great artists The Staples did the Weight flawlessly must have for The Band fans

This album culminates the Bands career and includes a lot of their friends they met along their incredible journey.

I loved the PBS special on this one of a kind concert. Picked up the CD and loved the music. Highly recommend.

For those of you familiar with the Band then this will be just what you expect it to be - a historical record of great music. For those who aren't familiar, this is an iconic group and are worth a listen to see if they appeal to you.

This was a great party that celebrated the Band and a great addition to any collection.

i liked the original but they remastered this very well. very enjoyable to listen to.

A stellar line-up of friends who came to celebrate the end of an era.
