Moral quandaries and violence abound in this story of a man who seeks bloody revenge not only on his family's killers but also on the whole justice system that let one of them go. I would not do the things he did and was unhappy to hear Foxx's character tell him "bravo" after he gruesomely kills, but the story is very compelling and brings up questions of right and wrong, justice, violence, and more.

Just a heads up towards the end of my review there is a spoiler so if you have not seen this movie. Do not completely read my review. I love everything about this movie only can not stand the ending. I would have loved it even more if Gerard Butlers character would have survived at the end.

Mr. Butler did am amazing job So diff Mr. Foxx but he plays the same person after awhile I would love fore him to strip out of his shell go a bit further. This movie like totally surprised me dud Not expect it to be the way it turned out. What a way to avenge yore families death.

If you haven't seen this gem from a few years back, do yourself a favor and watch it now. Two actors at the top of their game.

butler and foxx go head to head when the world he knew was taken from him. action suspense and a clear knowledge of the law makes butler a horrific nightmare when the judicial system tries to take short cuts. Even behind bars, this man can make anyone think twice about not being paranoid.

If only there were more law abiding citizens in the world!! Maybe there wouldn't be as much crime. We know the justice system isn't the best and this movie puts it into full perspective! Definitely a must see must own movie! Jamie Foxx and Gerad Butler are a dynamic cast!

this movie what have you thinking how the hell did he do it if he's locked up in jail don't want to spoil the plot you need to pick it up and check it for yourself I recommend this movie action packed have you on the seat of your couch thinking how about how I recommend

How can you go wrong with any movie with him starring in it?

This is a really good movie! Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx kept me at the edge of my seat! Great acting by the both of them! There are many scenes that will surprise you! I bought it for my mom as a gift, and she loves to watch it over and over!

Entertaining escapism but not much substance to it.

a clever and thrilling film, both Jamie Foxx and Gerard give an outstanding performance. If You have not seen this film, it is definitely recommended.

A good movie that makes one think who is the good guy and who is the bad guy when it comes to our criminal justice system. It also makes one think about the reprocutions that could occur when these so called plea deals do not truly punish the criminal.

Whoever wrote this script is a freaking genius! It's how most people feel if they could get to the person that harmed their loved ones! Had me on the edge of my seat the whole time!

I was overseas when Gerard Butler made it big. Didn't really know him but now have seen many of his movies. This was is intriging and very well crafted. Great team up with Jamie Foxx.

I saw this film in the theaters and have now watched it several times since purchasing the Blu Ray. It always stands up. It's not what you'd think the film would be and you're wandering how he's doing these things. Luckily the filmmakers answer this question for you.

The man being criminals and the justice system that feel like they can do what they want to save the tax payers money. This move has everything: A genius, intellect, and justice for all!! (A must buy)!!
