Display stopped working after only a year Case still in decent condition but the cool display features are no longer working

The Cover stop working after 6 months for no reason. All of the sudden.

Loved the cover it is not bulky. It was cool that it displayed the time and who was calling. Unfortunately after over two years it has stopped working. I guess I was luckier than most that had it stop working after just a month. If the price drops I would buy again since it only fits an older Samsung model.

Hands down the best OEM Samsung case for the S8/S8+. LED is bright and you can edit the icons. Internal pocket for cc or license. Didn't finger print like the clearview. Material is premium

I have been a fan of the wallet style cases since the galaxy S3 days. These cases also protect the screen. It is no longer mandatory to purchase a separate screen protector. This case also has LEDs that will display the time, your % battery remaining when you are charging the phone, and even customizable icon notifications for calls and messages. It also has a slot for credit cards, although that may affect the ability for the flap to close flush. Even without a card present, the flap does not stay down, as magnets are not employed in this design. That is slightly frustrating. The major downfall that sets this case apart from the rest is that you cannot adjust the screen to remain on when you close the front flap. For example, if you do not want to pay for a subscription to youtube red, which is the only way for an android to continue to stream videos in standby mode, you will need to leave the screen on while you close the flap and put the phone in your pocket. That is not possible with this case. Although their is an app that allows for customization, you cannot override this feature. Each time you close the phone, the screen turns off, and turns on again once you open the flap. This is one of the main reasons I choose to use wallet style cases over other types. I stream a great deal of media while working, but it is undesirable to have a video playing constantly in sight of co-workers and mgmt, as others may get the wrong impression. I choose to LISTEN to something while working in order to keep my mind active, and at peace. This case completely defeats that purpose altogether. If you use other sources, such as iheartradio, pandora, spotify, or tune in, this may not be an issue for you. Youtube has a greater diversity of real music, and wholesome content that I prefer. I will be returning this product, as I am deeply disappointed in this critical design flaw.
