Works. Almost like a SSD external hard drive but specifically for cryptocurrencies and to travel with them on the go. I still don't get the complete intricacies of this device and exactly what it does. But I do know of the four cryptos that I bought I was able to download from one of my computers and just to see how it connected uploaded to my laptop computer. I don't recommend all of the switching around somewhere between your confusion and a device is confusion could lead to some trouble. I don't have a great need for this just yet, but it's nice to have it for when my crypto currencies grow and I'm walking around with way more money than I know what to do with. Easy to transport and easy to move the information. I had a white hat friend of mine test. Its RFID shielding and it worked pretty well, we didn't put it through the ringer but it stood up to a very basic RFID potential hack. If you have crypto, you need one of these.

I mention this because the required software to use the ledger usb already exposes the potential anonymity of the user needing to register to use the device. Which may possibly lead to a MAC address, IP address, or another form of identification from the device. Not to mention the product being already RFID and depending on the form of payment used at the time of merchant and including CCTV cams can already expose anonymity. Plus, I'm pretty sure there was a huge data leak at LEDGER' who knows what was stolen..

This affordable "cold" wallet is not an ideal device for hardcore crypto types but works great for people like me who need an affordable option to hold my digital currency. This was the best option I found in the sub-100 price range and after some difficulty starting up/setting up the device I was able to easily transfer funds to this wallet and store it in a safe, undisclosed location. Beats stuffing money under the mattress!
