I own crypto currency, actually several coins. I have been reading articles about the stability of some crypto exchanges and am now concerned about security. The Ledger Nano S Wallet, a hardware "wallet" device seemed to be just the product I needed to provide safety and peace of mind. The concept is sound. Nobody would be able to access (buy or sell) my crypto assets without the hardware device and associated sophisticated password protections. I went to the website and followed instructions to set up the device. It took about 20 minutes, and I was delighted. Then I decided to make a bitcoin purchase, and experienced zero success. The Ledger app required me to set up an account with any of 4 companies to fund a purchase. I tried the 1st (Moonpay), and all went well until it rejected the Visa account I provided. I tried 2 other Visa cards, all were rejected (I use 2 of these cards daily). I next tried a Mastercard - rejected. It was my PAYPAL MC. I tried my USAA Mastercard - rejected. I tried my Goldman Sachs Mastercard - rejected. I gave up and tried to set up an account w the LEDGER app recommended 2nd company. Similar problems. I then used my CapOne account on coinbase exchange without LEDGER, and successfully made a bitcoin purchase -- proving to myself that all was well. I went back and used the LEDGER recommended WYRE company to set up an account. Problems again. I contacted support at LEDGER and at WYRE, alas -- their is zero phone support, so chat becomes the means of communication. It results in "I have to elevate the problem and you will hear back shortly" (it has now been a week). I received an email yesterday that WYRE had a problem, but it was fixed on 5/31/22. I tried again -- problem still exists. In short, zero phone support combined with worthless chat support will not allow me to recommend LEDGER hardware wallets. Imagine having an account with crypto and running into a problem with the Ledger support system. It would be a nightmare. Five stars for the concept, MINUS 4 stars for lack of support!

Love this crypto wallet. Best buy had made it really seamless for me to purchase this item.

I bought this to store some crypto. Plugged it in, said it needed a software update. Download and proceed with update, then the screen on device went blank and wouldn’t turn on. Computer would not recognize that it was plugged into usb. Went through all the possible procedures to fix provided by Ledger to no avail. Sent Ledger customer service an email. NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM. Moral of the story, no not buy a Ledger crypto wallet. Absolute garbage. 100 dollar paper weight at this point. Need to see if Best Buy will refund my money….
