I bit the bullet on this one due to having a rare discount as the original price is indeed on the heavier side. I can't tell you though how glad I was to purchase what I can promise you will be one of the funnest lego projects you will ever build. The thing is HUGE it took me a week's worth of evenings to finish it. I dare say it was even therapeutic at times to keep my mind of things or to help me being distracted. Well worth the purchase especially if you're a Mario/Lego fan.

This build is super fun. Did it over several nights with my son. Comes in 22 bags and the instructions are clear for the most part. Construction is very sturdy with the exception of the pillars. The building progress for Bowser is also very cool overall. The biggest knock overall was actually the box received from BestBuy. It was partially crushed and I was afraid it would be missing parts. Prompted me to build the set almost immediately. No issues in the end though.

Fun build, though it can get a tad repetitive building the shell sections. Instructions are pretty clear, but care must be taken to not get the torso one stud off. I wish the fingers were better, but the shell, head, and legs are awesome. Bowser has great table presence. Bonus : Super Expressive Eyebrows Win

This has to be one of the most fun Lego kits I have built in years, hands down. The directions were clear and easy to follow, and the parts were all separated into individual bags that were clearly labeled. Don't get me wrong, it is a time consuming build being almost 3,000 pieces, but once you have it finished and in your hands you won't stop smiling. I still can't get over the size of the finished figure. And he has some pretty neat features including a switch hidden under his arm that opens and closes his mouth and fires a spring-loaded fireball, while another spot under his arms allows you to rotate his head back and forth so that he can look around. The arms and fingers are also posable. If you're a fan of Mario games, you don't want to miss this one.

One of my favorite sets to date, so ingenious. Best Buy's pickup section was great. It was ready to go, with a perfect box. Thanks Best Buy, I'll be buying my Lego sets from you now.

This build is HUGE! So many cool and clever details throughout the build. My wife has enjoyed every moment assembling this. Definitely an advanced level build. Bonus: If you have the electronic Super Mario from the other sets there are a few tiles hidden that he can interact with!

The product is amazing, overpriced somewhat, and Best Buy is gonna destroy your outer box most likely. So... that's the review. Amazing Lego, catch it on sale, and Best Buy hates collectible boxes lol... I ordered twice and first time box was literally open inside of a huge box, second time better but still not collectible condition by a long shot.

Absolutely incredible! This Lego figure can pose, turn his head, and even spit fire! T Worth every piece and penny if you have the patience to build it! Definitely recommend for Mario and Lego fans alike! It is also compatible with Super Mario Lego figures! They can interact and “defeat Bowser”! Otherwise still great for display!

If you are a LEGO nerd this is a great set. If you are LEGO and a Nintendo nerd this is the ultimate set. Very cool build, very stable and a great display piece.

This is an awesome fun build, only drawl back is the fireball spitting action doesn't work 100% of the time.

I recently purchesed this Lego Set for my 14, soon to be q5, year old son. He loves to build Legos and saw an ad for this Lego set online. He wouldn't stop bugging me about buying it for his birthday, his birthday is in 2 months. I got it for him as an early gift, and instantly knew he loved it. He spent all day building the Lego set, and the end result was amazing. Not only did he have something to do, but he enjoyed every second of building it.
