Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Legion 5 15 Gaming Laptop, model number 81Y6000DUS. This model ships with a 4CELL_60WH_INTERNAL, Lithium Polymer Battery, which within this configuration, has a battery life of up to 5 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, first, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 10 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-apps-running-background-windows-10. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Legion Ultimate Support at: 888-278-9707. Lenovo

We are going to have to bring this back to Geek Squad -- as it appears a board or something may be going out already. It will periodically shut down. It will boot back up, but it has now happened 4 times in the past 3 weeks. Still under warranty. Runs GREAT aside from that, so I will be quite happy with it's functionality when this is fixed. It is fast.

I have had this laptop for a few months now. It is super fast and works well for working remotely and gaming. I know several people who own this laptop and love it and that's one of reasons I got it. It's an excellent value for the money and I'm super happy with it!

The Lenovo Legion 5 has all the power of a gaming laptop while still looking clean and professional. It similarly handles productivity work (like coding and Adobe Photoshop) and all of the games I have tried with no issues. The keyboard is backlit, and you can fully customize the colors with the included Lenovo Vantage app. The keyboard and touchpad are solid, and there are plenty of ports for I/O devices. The only real downside to the laptop is the battery life, which is not great, but can be improved by using the laptop on the "quiet mode" thermal mode. Conversely, when the laptop is plugged in and you need to boost the performance, you can set the laptop to the "performance mode", which is the perfect mode for gaming. The ability to change the thermal mode is greatly appreciated and makes the laptop very versatile, whether using it for gaming or productivity. Overall, it is a fast and efficient gaming laptop that looks modern and is definitely worth the money, especially if you can get it on sale.

Paid the same price for a similarly equipped HP Omen desktop a year ago, and am absolutely not disappointed. Hard drive could be bigger, with AAA titles using 100GB+ alone, but overall, perfectly suited for the gamer who needs to be mobile, and who isn't looking for bleeding-edge performance.

I bought this computer to run Sims 3. I had previously tried a Dell G3 laptop with a Intel core i5, but that one only ran the game with difficulty. With the i7 core on this computer, it runs beautifully without even getting hot. Well worth the 950 dollars I bought it for.

A wonderful Laptop! I bought this as a replacement for my other laptop wishing had died on me and it is amazing! I use it for college work and for video games, it can smoothly run Fortnite at 160FPS and Warzone—which are the two games I have ran on the laptop so far!

I bought this laptop a month ago. When I first unboxed it, I knew I made the right choice. The keyboard looks lit, and the look of this was amazing. The performance is awesome, it can easily run over 100 FPS on medium to high graphics setting. I 100% recommend it.

Got this on sale for $949 a month ago, which is a reasonable price for this machine. I wanted to be able to sit in bed and have a dedicated device to play games on instead of using bootcamp on my MBP. This definitely does the job! Runs smoothly and loads games quick (playing LoL, D3, WoW, FFXIV, Sims4). I appreciate the number pad on the side - makes it more enjoyable to type for me. I find the screen lackluster compared to other machines as it can get dim. The keyboard is a bit distracting when it's lit up on any setting - it shines brighter than the screen. Battery life is bad and the charging brick is massive and awkward. It can also get warm quickly with the fan blowing loudly. But, for the overall price compared to other models with these specs, I can take these few personal annoyances with a grain of salt and still enjoy gaming in my free time!

I'm extremely happy with this. Put a clean version of Windows 10 Pro on, add 8 Gigs of ram (don't worry about dropping speed, you won't notice,) and a 1TB SSD . . . you'll be happy gaming or even video editing on smaller projects.

After testing an open box buy..... I've decided that Lenovo makes a very nice laptop. It has one of the best designs I've came across so far. It doesn't feel cheap, fingerprints aren't annoying, and the overall layout is perfect. Keystrokes are pleasant. RGB lighting is how it should be....with lighting showing through the lettering. Brightness is sufficient and the 120hz screen is the minimum I'd reccomend for any fps intensive games....if you like smoothness and overall better visuals when moving. Modern Warfare Warzone runs with everything turned up at an avg of 80fps on the low end....but can reach higher. An extra 8gb of ram.... should add a few more. The scores weren't as high as the Asus Tuf (not sure what was wrong with the 4800h and 2060)....but..... it exceeded it by far. Unfortunately....after all my testing....I'm becoming picky.... Think, I'd like to get the 17" 144hz instead, but they seem limited and overpriced currently. Thank you Bestbuy.....for allowing me to really take the time.... to find out which one is the right one for me. Now.....if they'd actually post my reviews ...
