For the games I play, I can't tell any significant difference between the two. Game play is smooth and visual details are excellent. It does produce a lot of heat which thankfully blows towards the back. I wish it came with higher memory storage so I didn't have to buy an external HDD.

Being blind I wanted to see it first hand so i went into the best buy to see if they had it on display. As soon as i got to play around with it i was hooked. The price was right and the specs were more than adequate for what i was going to use it for. Its been a few weeks with the laptop and i am still happy with it.

Very fast, very quiet, and it barley gets warm let alone blazing hot like a lot of other gaming laptops do. Whether you need it for work, school, gaming, or just to simply browse the internet and check E-mails, you won't be disappointed with this laptop. Plus, the charging port is in the very back along with most of the other USB ports.

It also does well in other games. Overall very nice.

Great First Gaming Laptop

It's a solid laptop, great graphics when gaming online (Borderlands 3 currently). I love the side numerical keypad and the light up keyboard. The mouse pad is slightly off center, which takes a bit to get used to, but it would not deter me from purchasing this laptop again. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my first gaming laptop.

I had to dump my old pc thanks to a windows 10 update which made it tank after 5 years of running strong, but this upgrade is better than what i imagined, and i'm going to install linux on it since it has such great performance thus far (and hopefully circumvent windows 10 from destroying this fine purchase).

An amazing Gaming Laptop!

The CPU is snappy and cools down perfectly and the graphics card is also a perfect match too. All of the games I play go over 130+fps so you'll never have to worry about stutters. Another great perk is that this laptop cools itself very well and never thermal throttles!

Performance thus far has been outstanding it would receive five stars if there wasn't an issue apparently with the software drivers for the battery and or charging system which I believe is fixable but I've already fixed it once and the problem has returned. The only other thing I would have liked would be a little additional RAM as this unit only has 8 gigs which seems a little on the low side for a gaming platform

Posted .The Lenovo Legion 5 15 Gaming Laptop, model number 81Y6000DUS, ships with a 4CELL_60WH_INTERNAL, Lithium Polymer Battery, which within this configuration has a battery life of up to 5 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, first, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 10 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-apps-running-background-windows-10. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. For example, shift + 2 gave me ) and not the @ . Returned of course. 2nd observation, the heaviest part of carrying around this laptop is the charging system. The ac/dc cable is for a 100W power tool and the actual unit is like a brick. Overall, after many months of using it is a decent laptop, especially if you buy it on sale.
