Great gaming laptop

I’m in love with my Legion 7i. It works smooth, and runs any game. Additional SSD can be installed. Also RAM has an extra slot for 64 gb. I’ll definitely do it after a few years. I like the keyboard and the trackpad is fine. People complain about audio and fan noise. But to be honest, it’s not an issue for me. I use my headset most of the time. Although we entered the OLED era, trust me this screen is great. I’m satisfied with my purchase.

Soild Build and Performance

CPU is soild, everything you would expect. The SSD doesn’t need to be upgraded unless you are doing large files or need the increased storage capacity or read/write speed for large files. GPU is great and works as expected. Screen looks amazing, has good refresh rate and is color is pretty good. I enjoy the quiet keyboad and the backlighting configuration. I like the white looks great and the laptop feels solid but still lightweight for what you get. Cons - the fan, when in use, is slightly loud but really nothing crazy. Battery life is ok but doesnt last all the long. Overall i would recommend buying if you are looking for a soild rig in this price range. Upgradable components make this form factor a great choice for years to come.

It runs my games even better than my desktop with similar specs. It is also very sturdy. Like any laptop, it does get a little loud when playing intensive games.

I think I’ve found it with this Lenovo. Incredible performance, can easily upgrade/add SSD, more RAM, etc. Screen is bright and clear, and fans dont get as loud as some other laptops I’ve tried. It can run any game I throw at it including Helldivers 2, Alan Wake 2, etc. with zero issues. I highly recommend this laptop.

I needed to repair the LCD screen and they said the subscription wouldn’t cover it and it would cost 500.00 to repair at least. It’s too expensive and I can’t get it fixed now.the subscription plan alone is expensive and the fact that it doesn’t cover it makes it useless to me. It’s a waste of money. I would have bought this through another company.

Looking at white makes you think a lot faster. Screen has corner instead of being rounded, like. Numpad is a huge plus for anyone that deals with numbers. Downside: The fingerprint scanner/power button in the middle of the screen stays lit, super annoying. Got around it by putting blackening tapes. Speakers aren't the best, gets by. Goes silent when you put it into custom fan and connected to power.

Laggy key input on external monitor + loud fans

I found that even keyboard entry lagged and gaming performance was poor compared to my 4060 desktop. Also, under the slightest stress the fans turn into a leafblower. I cannot recommend this laptop.

To do so, first, open the Settings app > Select the Windows update tab > Select the Check for updates button.

Regarding the heat produced, this Legion features an active cooling system, along with other components and software, designed to enable the user to power through work without throttling due to heat produced. We recommend that the bottom of the device, where the air intake vents are, is clear of obstructions to increase air flow. Additionally, this Legion features Smart Control, enabling the user to use the key command combination of Fn + Q to toggle between thermal/performance mode. For instances where you may use the device in your lap or a situation where the intake vents may be obstructed, we recommend switching to cool or quiet mode to help with the heat felt on the bottom of the machine and prevent temperatures from raising internally. Also, please check for and apply any available updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings to help ensure you are using the latest software and drivers to ensure your system is running as efficiently as possible.
