Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the Legion 7i's fantastic performance and solid build quality as major strengths. The keyboard and display also receive positive feedback, with many praising their features. However, some users point to less-than-ideal battery life and occasional heat generation as drawbacks. While some find the fan noise noticeable, others report it as manageable or even quiet under certain conditions.

This laptop is beautiful and runs very fast. Build feels very solid. Screen is top. Some other brands’ screens like Asus can be over-saturated for me. In terms of quality, I think Lenovo outshines some of the the other brands I’ve tried, like Asus Rog Zephyrus and Hp omen. No fuss when installing and using different softwares. The only downside of this laptop is that it gets a little hotter for the touch than other laptops with similar specs that I’ve tried. Fan noise is good.

So far, so good. I did eventually buy a laptop cooler from Amazon as gaming laptops do run hot, and keeping them cool helps prolong their lifespan, from what I've learned. I love that this is an all aluminum case, and that Lenovo provides vantage software that helps you with performance. Check out Jerrods Tech on youtube for a good overview of this laptop. Other youtube vids provide good info on how to debloat and turn off as much Windows tracking info as possible after the unboxing. Also check out "Block Windows Update and Stay on 23H2" to keep the Windows Recall 24h2 update from happening if you're wary of that. And yes there is a fix for the Windows 11 Home edition. So far the performance is keeping up with most games, as it should, since there's only a couple GPUs that are at a higher tier. (Though 4070 laptop cards have slightly less performance than 4070 desktop cards do.) DayZ is running at the highest settings. Though I'm still just on a 1080p monitor, but this card is supposed to keep up with 4k. The only downside was not having an ethernet port, but I bought it knowing that, and so I bought an ethernet dongle which connects to the Thunderbolt port. You can pick one up for $50. I got the J5 Create 4k60 100Gbps dongle, since it mentioned thunderbolt, and unlike an Anker dongle I tried first, it doesn't get hot. Be aware that when you change the settings to run solely off of the 4070 (using what equates to a mux switch), that the two ports on the left side change from their original settings of USB-C and Thunderbolt, to only allowing HDMI from the rear side port and no ethernet (if you're using a dongle), and the forward left side port having no HDMI connectivity but will accept ethernet connectivity though the dongle. If you turn off the mux switch and go back to using Advanced Optimus, then the USB-C and Thuderbolt ports regain all their functionality. This is on purpose apparently. There's a rear HDMI port anyway, and if you need 3 monitors while using the best gaming settings, you could always just get a splitter or a dock. And lastly pickup from BestBuy was easy, just waited in line and showed my ID, and because I purchased during X-mas, the return period was extended.

Color feel and carry was great. Only returned because i wanted the new 5000 series gpu. And also because it didnt come with ethernet port. But for price of open box, kind of regret. Also i'm upgrading from a surface book. Yogi would be ideal but the adjustment no touch screen was too much. If it was 4080 gpu probably would've kept.

The computer runs great. The fan is loud. It does get warm. My review is based on customer service. I needed to repair the LCD screen and they said the subscription wouldn’t cover it and it would cost 500.00 to repair at least. It’s too expensive and I can’t get it fixed now.the subscription plan alone is expensive and the fact that it doesn’t cover it makes it useless to me. It’s a waste of money. I would have bought this through another company.

This is not my first Lenovo… The 7i hits the right notes for me. I do wish it supported 64 gig of RAM and I wish Lenova would see that point however since this is as good as it gets, this unit is pretty amazing. I already ordered and installed the 4 TB drive as well as the initial one terabyte drive that was installed out of the box and the machine works fantastically. Superfast really good machine for creating and editing video. As a YouTuber myself, I find this machine to be super powerful in enough to take me a couple years at least into the future, possibly more depending on what I’m doing with my YouTube at that point. I also enjoy playing games here and there in this unit does not sacrifice anything. The video quality is amazing in every game. I’ve tried on it, I am a call of duty, dude myself and it plays exceptionally well. I have also tried many other games just to see how they worked on this unit to kind of gauge its performance. Not , I am a call of duty, dude myself and it plays exceptionally well. I have also tried many other games just to see how they worked on this unit to kind of gauge it’s performance. Not let down by a single one. Amazing value good build quality. My other unit in this line is about four years old and still works and looks amazing. One thing I might suggest is to get yourself a vinyl wrap for your unit to protect the white finish. How it would hold up long-term. But it was cheaper than the black finish for some reason so I bought the white. I love the look and I hope it looks as good in four years. And yes, I’d buy it again.

Purchased for my wife after 2 computers died in one day (it was rough) 8 year old alienware and 1 year old netbook crapped out and my wife was back and forth on what to get for weeks. runs all her steam games well, sims, quake, skyrim. graphics are great, battery life, well gaming laptop, gaming will drain the battery on anything fast. does get warm pretty quickly is her only complaint so far. definitely worth the price.

Excellent laptop overall. I mainly use it for gaming (GTA V runs smooth with great performance) and for my cybersecurity studies, including multitasking, virtual machines, and heavy software , and it handles everything without issues. Boot time is fast, the system feels responsive, and it stays stable even under load. The display looks sharp, the keyboard is comfortable for long sessions, and the battery life is solid for daily use. On top of that, the design is clean and modern, and it feels well built. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a reliable laptop for both gaming and technical studies

My old computer died on me spontaneously. Hence I purchased this one as a replacement and it’s a night and day difference. As a architecture student, it covers all the specs I need to accomplish my tasks with no setbacks. At first I was a bit nervous making a decision, but luckily the store associates gave me the extra push I needed to make the purchase and I’ve haven’t looked back. I am very content with my new laptop.

I updated from the 5i to the 14th-gen Core i9 because the screen had a lot of screen bleed at the bottom, so I got this one. This is a huge step up, and the screen is awesome. I added a 2TB SSD for gaming, and it is super easy to upgrade. It plays all the games at full settings with no lag on anything I'm playing and testing. This is a great laptop, and you should review it based on what it is, not what you want it to be. It does everything I bought it to do without breaking a sweat.

This computer is great! It's so fast at loading whatever I'm using and is perfect for gaming. The screen is crisp and bright. Love the customizable keyboard. The only thing I wish were different would be the max level of the speakers, but I use it with headphones or surround sound most of the time so not a big issue.

I LOVE this laptop. I didn't think I would like it as much as my MSI 68hx but man. It's right up to par with it. I'm about to upgrade it's memory and ram, I didn't have the extra slots in my MSI like the Lenovo has. I got it on sale during Black Friday to do my school work with and just the base computer, I'm able to run Adobe Photoshop, autodesk Maya and Adobe substance paying while having an internet browser with a few tabs open with no issues at all. For those who know. Those are high powered programs for 3D modeling and animation and what not. You have about an hour on the battery unplugged if you're gaming or working with high powered programs. You'll get maybe 3 with just the browser opened. Plugged in, it runs smoothly. Highly recommend this laptop

I recently got the Lenovo Legion 7i 16" (Glacier White), and it has completely blown me away. The Intel 14th Gen Core i9 paired with 32GB RAM makes everything lightning fast, whether I’m gaming, editing videos, or multitasking with dozens of tabs open. The NVIDIA RTX 4070 runs all my games smoothly on high/ultra settings, and the 2.5K LCD display is both crisp and vibrant—perfect for gaming and creative work. The build feels premium and sturdy, and the Glacier White color really stands out. The RGB keyboard is customizable and super comfortable for long gaming or work sessions. Storage is no issue with the 1TB SSD, which loads games and apps instantly. The only downside is that it runs a bit warm under heavy gaming, but that’s expected for such a powerful machine. The fans kick in efficiently, so it’s never been a real problem. Battery life is decent for everyday use but short if you’re gaming unplugged—again, normal for gaming laptops. Overall, this laptop is a beast in performance, style, and design. If you want something that balances power for gaming and professional work, the Legion 7i is worth every penny.
