Really good computer if you don’t have the space or want to have the process of owning a desktop. This easily has enough power to run any game or any program you want. The capabilities of this computer are endless as well as being thin and it doesn’t get as hot as I would have thought.

Strongpoints
-CPU
-4.4 lbs (lightweight)
-Gaming Laptop with 5060
-High Quality Build (Feels Premium)
-Looks Pleasing and Professional
Weaknesses
-Battery Life (All settings turned down for best battery life, getting around 4 Hrs)
-OLED Screen (Yet to be determined how long it can go without screen burn in)
-VRAM only has 8gb, thanks NVIDIA
Overall:
Not recommended for gaming. Go with a desktop with a 5060TI if you must game. Otherwise go 5070TI with 12gb VRAM is a must for a laptop. You spend so much money on a laptop, why get this computer? Get the 5070TI. The performance is way better. This or any computer shouldn't be something you buy for gaming with only 8gb VRAM. Modern games will eat that up causing you to lag. This computer is meant for a more professional stance. Lightweight and portable. It should have came with the 255H chip for more battery life. Hence why Lenovo decided to go this route for their next Gen 11 models. The HX chip is too powerful for a 5060. The combo doesn't complainment each other. The 255HX is a great chip though however. That will eat up any professional work. So if your an engineer student. This is a great laptop for you. If you need that extra Graphics card from NVIDIA this is a nice computer. But only on sale. I grabbed it for $1234 on sale. I will buy a Warranty with Lenovo. It's cheaper than Best Buys and make sure you buy Accidental Damage Protection as well. So you protect yourself from screen burn in problems. Like I said this computer isn't for everyone.

The Lenovo Legion 7i is an outstanding gaming laptop that delivers top‑tier performance in a clean, professional design. The 2.5K OLED display is easily one of its best features—colors look rich, blacks are deep, and the high refresh rate makes everything feel incredibly smooth. Whether you’re gaming, editing, or streaming, the screen quality really elevates the experience.
Performance is excellent thanks to the Intel Ultra 7 255HX and RTX 5060 combo. Games run smoothly at high settings, multitasking is effortless, and the system stays responsive even under heavy workloads. It’s a great machine for both gaming and productivity, and the 32GB of RAM ensures everything runs without slowdown.
The build quality feels premium. The Glacier White finish looks sharp, and the laptop has a solid, durable feel without being overly bulky. The keyboard is comfortable, the trackpad is responsive, and the overall layout is easy to work with.
Battery life isn’t the strongest, but that’s expected for a laptop with this level of power and an OLED display. For plugged‑in gaming or creative work, it performs exceptionally well.
Overall, the Legion 7i is a fantastic choice for anyone who wants a powerful, visually stunning laptop that handles modern games and demanding tasks with ease. It’s fast, reliable, and absolutely worth recommending.

Upgrade from 5 year old MSI Leopard

I really liked my MSI but the build quality as far as the case and hinges was not good, keys started falling off at 4 years also. So I needed a new laptop and starting looking and settled on the Legion brand because of what i read about the build quality and durability. I have only had it a few weeks but the things I like so far about it:
It does seem very durable, the case feels like it will last, its light weight, but came loaded with all the good things like wifi7, 32 gb ram, Ultra 7 processor, awesome OLED screen, and it is super easy to upgrade, I watched a simple youtube video and was able to take my old SSD drive from the MSI and put it in slot 2 in the Legion, only took a few minutes, was super easy for me a 55 year old, and it worked no problem right away. I love the keyboard, I changed the color to a cool blue and it looks great. I do alot of research on the internet for my job and have 30+ browsers open at once and it handles them like a champ.
The white color really is nice in person, I was skeptical at first but I really like it. I found it in Best buy outlet and got it for less than $1400 and it went even a little cheaper and Best Buy was super easy to deal with and they refunded the difference. i would definitely buy again and definitely get from Best Buy, overall experience was 5 Stars!

Lenovo's Legion series of laptops can be very confusing for those who aren't familiar with the naming convention. You have 5, 5i, 5i Pro, 5 Pro, 7i, 7i Pro, etc. Now they're adding "a" models with AMD processors...
Anyway, the point is that the 7i and the 7i Pro are very different models despite both being "7" series.
The 7i only comes in white and has an all-metal build. This was originally called a "slim" model because it's a sleeker build than the Pro models. At the end of the day, all you need to know is that the white 7i is the least "gamer" looking of the Legion models and comes with 5060 or 5070 options.
I purchased the 5070 model from Lenovo on sale for about $600 under MSRP. This was a great price for what I got, but then Best Buy dropped their 5060 model to $600 under MSRP and it was a steal.
The build of the two machines is the same - you can pay more for a higher refresh display by buying the 5070 model from Best Buy. Running games on the 5070 and 5060 feels very similar, the only thing I notice is the 5060 model seems to run its fans sooner than the 5070 model. Could just be my unit.
Overall, this is my favorite laptop out of all of the major brands. I've tried many Asus, Alienware, Razer, Gigabyte, and other models.

To access these settings, start by opening the Legion Space app, then scroll down to the bottom of the homepage where you will find the Lighting Options widget. Sharp looking laptop

At the time I got this, it was on sale at a good discount compared to its retail price with specs that could not be beaten at that price. So far, the performance has been great with any game that I've thrown at it. The screen is also very impressive.
Lenovo is considered one of the top brands out there for laptops based on multiple reviews read; and in particular this model. The White color is also quite sharp.
If I could make one knock against it, the battery life could be better. This is to be expected for a machine with a dedicated GPU. However, it can be improved by adjusting the settings for whisper mode from what is set by default. There are a few guides online that can help with that.

I really love the OLED screen. The processor is much faster than my 4 yr old Core i7. The keyboard is nice and I like the rgb backlit keys, but they can be distracting at times. I like the look of the white, but I just worry about how it will look after some use. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase, and for what I have seen, would buy this again at the price I got it on sale. This is our third Lenovo laptop. They have worked well for our family. My kids each have more value units, but they are holding up well. Battery life has been the biggest weakness, but hasn’t been an issue for how we use them. We don’t need 8+ hrs on battery.

I had originally purchased the 5i with similar configuration although it had Intel Core Ultra 9 processor. I got an awesome deal on this for a little over what I paid for the 5i and I am super happy with the 7i so far. I installed a second SSD and this machine is awesome. I am not a gamer so probably overkill for me. I do some light video editing and this works well for that. The 7i generally has a much better build quality and feel compared to the 7i. The OLED screen on the 7i is also super nice. I highly recommend this laptop especially when it comes on sale.

I got it to play genshin impact and other hoyoverse games and they run smoothly with high graphics. This is my first gaming laptop and so far I'm having an amazing experience.

This laptop is a huge upgrade over my previous, which was still too new to actually do a trade-in with. Kudos to Lenovo for offering this beauty and kudos to Best Buy for having the best available price for it! I have the cached ram set to erase every hour or so and I have 0 issues with my complex work or with any game. Battery is not good, but what do you expect from a computer pushing out 4k to the oled display and running as well as this does?

This is a pretty well rounded laptop for gaming and productivity. I’m happy with the performance, screen quality, camera quality, and the light-up keyboard. The battery life is the only compromise you make getting a laptop like this as opposed to a similar quality non-gaming laptop. The laptops charger has a large power supply, high wattage USB-C charging trickles down slowly instead of charging. As a student, I had been on the fence for years about getting one but I’m glad I did.

My wife loves the size, weight, performance for work tasks, crisp display, and especially the keyboard feel plus she can make the keys purple. One issue i did have with the laptop right out of the box was with the mediatek wifi adapter. Everytime i restarted the laptop i would have to reconnect to the wifi no matter which connection 2.4/5/6 ghz band. I even wiped the system and reinstalled windows with same results. Finally after finding newer drivers for mediatek via the Asus rog forums ive had no issues like described. Minus the wifi driver issue its been a great laptop so far and a happy wife is a happy life.

Laptop looks flawless. Performs very well, almost overkill for my needs. -1 star because the speakers on it are not very good. I have to have it at 100% volume just to hear all of its content fully. Battery life is terrible, but no need to deduct because of that, i knew it when i bought it. Overally very satisfied, however i am a media consumer, so i am debating whether to take it back or not to get a laptop with better speakers
