Screen is real nice, the battery life is not 7-8 hours, more like 4-6 depending on what you're doing., but for general use it's easy enough to plug in.

I mainly play WoW, Elden Ring, Mass Effect, and Hogwarts Legacy. All games play smoothly at the highest settings. I also like the low profile of the laptop. I don’t love the default keyboard lighting scheme and I can never remember how to change it so I live with it. My only real complaint is that the fans are pretty loud. My other computer is an Asus Tuf Book 4070 and never really notice the fans.

Other than that I averaged 1.5-3.5 hours of battery for LIGHT use off charger. If you don't mind being tethered to a cord than this is great. It is absolutely stunning with the white chassis and screen resolution, but to me this is a stay plugged in device, which is not what I was looking for.

The only detail is that you have to charge it after 3-4 of using ot nonstop with the architecture programs loke AutoCad and Rhino.

Firstly, we recommend running and installing all available drivers updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings, these updates are crucial to the device’s health and will affect the device’s power output leading to enhanced battery life. To check for updates within Lenovo Vantage begin by launching the application, then select the “Check for updates” button on the top of the right-hand of the display. To check for Windows Updates, start by launching the Settings app, then selecting the Windows Update tab on the left-hand side of the page, finally select the “Check for updates’ button located in the top right of the page.
Secondly, the Legion 7i allows you to change the computer’s thermal mode. This will allow your device to cycle between higher performance, quiet, or automatically adjust based on your needs. To start, launch the Lenovo Space app, Under the CPU and GPU Performance gauges you will find the option to toggle performance profiles. We suggest using Quiet mode which will lower the temperature of your Legion 7i when under load. You can also toggle thermal modes simply with the Fn+Q hotkey.

I’m happy with the performance, screen quality, camera quality, and the light-up keyboard. The battery life is the only compromise you make getting a laptop like this as opposed to a similar quality non-gaming laptop. The laptops charger has a large power supply, high wattage USB-C charging trickles down slowly instead of charging. As a student, I had been on the fence for years about getting one but I’m glad I did.
