This is a powerhouse for a laptop. Great for gaming and everyday use. The specs for the price is a great value.

I bought the hp omen max 16 with intel ultra max 9 and RTX 5080 GPU. I had sudden frame drops when playing competitive shooters. So I decided to return it and then I bought the lenevo legion 7i pro. This machine is a beast. Runs every game at max settings. No frame drops. It has the same configuration as the hp omen max 16 but the performance is way above HP. Way to go Lenevo !

There are other 5080 laptops out there but this is the only one that really gives it the juice it needs.There are some features I would have preferred but overall a great laptop.

This is an awesome computer. The screen resolution is great! The fans blow out the back pushing heat away from me which is very nice. My old laptop would get hot on the keyboard and i have not had that happen with my Legion. The battery life is better than my other laptops running very well when playing games. My other laptop is a little over a year and a half old but only lasts abput half the time of my new Legion.

If you’re looking for a gaming laptop that seriously punches above all, the best OLED screen money can buy, then the Legion Pro 7i with RTX 5080 is an absolute unit of a gaming laptop!

I have owned around 5 gaming laptops now over the least 6 or 7 years. This is my first high end laptop and it’s also the first one that truly feels like I’m getting desktop power in a laptop. Battlefield 2024 at ultra settings on 1440p at 158fps isn’t something I thought I would ever see in a laptop. OLED is very good as well.

I rarely write bad reviews, but I felt I needed to share this so others don’t feel alone. This was the worst experience I've ever had with a retailer. I thought I was getting a great deal—an open-box Lenovo 7i RTX 5080 listed as “excellent condition.” According to Best Buy’s website, it was described as like new with all accessories, which was what I expected. Instead, I received an old Legion 5i with an RTX 5060 and a low-powered, non-Lenovo power supply. It wasn’t wrapped or boxed in Lenovo packaging. All I got was a fingerprint-covered, clearly well-used computer. I was stunned. It took forever to reach a real person after navigating their AI answering system, which kept looping back to the main menu. I was so frustrated trying to find a way to talk to a human. When I finally got through to their offshore call center, I was told what I had received. The representative made me go through a login process to verify—I already knew what I had received wasn’t right. He then said I should have read the disclosure, which states that the item may or may not come with all accessories or could include non-OEM replacements. I told him that's not what “excellent condition” on the website means. It's supposed to include all original accessories and be in a like-new condition. Absolutely not—they don't even look the same. Then he had the audacity to say there was nothing he could do and to take it to a local Best Buy store and explain the issue. I live in Hawaii, and I told him there are no retail stores here. The nearest one is over 300 miles away on another island. He suggested I bring it there, but I reminded him it's 300 miles over the ocean. Then he said there was nothing they could do and to call Lenovo. I asked how that’s Lenovo’s fault, and he said that was all he could do. By then, I was furious and felt like I’d been ripped off by a major big-box store. I argued with his illogical reasoning. Finally, he said he’d check with a manager about what to do. After 30 minutes of explaining, he finally gave me a FedEx return label. This was one of the most unpleasant experiences I've ever had with a retailer. It still took over two weeks to get my refund. I've heard on several forums that the actual condition of their open-box computers can be very unreliable—that it’s really just luck. If I hadn’t worked in IT for over 20 years, and been in an executive position for over 10, I can see how a suspicious person might realize weeks later that something was wrong, after the return window closed. After all, it’s just a black computer. Terrible. I will never order from Best Buy again. I’d pay extra to buy from Amazon instead. I've never had a bad experience with Amazon. I trust them, and I can get a human on the line. So disappointed.

Excellent Laptop - Worth the Price. Highly recommend this laptop

Overall a great laptop for the year. The cooling system in this one was no different then the Lenovo 7 nonpro. Didn’t really feel that liquid cooling do any better at keeping the laptop cool. Still had to go to the garage which is my coldest room to keep it from flying after a few hr of game play….maybe next gen will do better
