This unit is absolutely phenomenal. Build is solid screen is the most beautiful IPS panel I have ever seen in my life with dcip 3 at 100%. Keyboard is so comfortable and fun to type on. Awesome RGB per key. There's not a program or a game that you could throw at this unit and have any issues. And it does not run hot! Superpower there's no need to undervolt or overclock temperatures are great and so is performance. You can't go wrong!

Old guys like me shouldn't be allowed to own such a fast machine - at least without a license to drive one. Love its speed and ease of handling, not to mention the light show is a real hoot. Note: Machine is not for the timid or shy!

This laptop is fast and powerful. The 4080 runs anything you can think of. The lighting effects on the laptop are really nice and pleasant to look at. Its not a very loud or heavy machine. The only complaint i have about this laptop is that the charging block is pretty big and makes it uncomfortable to travel.

Every since I’ve gotten this laptop, I haven’t touched my desktop since it is 10x as powerful. Runs Rust, Warzone, gta and many others at 100 fps++ and very portable. I’ve had it for about 2 weeks and don’t have a single complaint. 10/10 purchase!

Have had the computer about a week and so far so good. I bought this one because of the 4080 and it was on sale. The 2td SSD is actually 2 1TB SSD's with the second one in the number 2 slot. Which is ok with me cause I use it to store my games and 3d print files. Screen is great. It also comes with a 330w power brick, but most of the ones I have looked at have the bigger brick when you step up to the 4080.

Beast of a machine, but needed to come w/ 64GB RAM

I was able to pick this up open box for $2300 after taxes. I would give this 5 stars if this came with 64GB of RAM. Out of the box this operating system and machine uses 20ish GB of RAM from boot up with no additional programs. I purchased some RAM and upgraded to 64GB and its been great. It was also rather simple and RAM in general isn't that expensive so it wasn't that difficult. I genuinely love this laptop, the number of ports all over it are awesome. I have a 34" UW monitor into the HDMMI and another 1080p monitor connected it through a USB-C converter. I use this thing like a desktop and it powers through any game I want it to. It will get very hot, just as any gaming laptop relying on air cooling will. I bought a powerful cooling mat and use it when I feel like its getting too hot and that helps it. It's not nearly as big or heavy as I would have expected a laptop with these specs to have and the lighting is fun if you're into that. Lets talk about battery. Look, I didn't buy this thing for battery, and honestly most poeple shouldn't be buying a gaming laptop for battery life. Its always going to be abyssmal especially for something with a 4080 in it. This thing was advertised as 2TB SSD, mine had a 1 TB SDD and a 1TB HDD. It didn't bother me enough to have an issue with it. Unfortunately it looks like this is no longer going to be available at Best Buy. If you find it on amazon for a similar price in my opinion its worth it if you upgrade the RAM.

Usually I go with MSI or Asus. However as the selections from those two have been getting really bad, I tried this out. It has been great with no issues. The build quality is also great.

I spent MONTHS researching my next gaming laptop. I had a green light to pull the trigger, but I kept researching. I settled on the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i. I picked it up May 1st from Best Buy in Lakewood, CO. I am still in love with it, but unfortunately, I have graphics issues. Randomly my screen will split into 4 horizontal sections, repeating the same 4 horizontal bars. All text becomes blurry... I submitted a ticket to Lenovo. Lenovo contacted me and said since it is a new computer to contact Best Buy for a replacement. Best Buy phone call says to call back on Monday. I spent an hour on chat, they tell me to bring it to the store to address "a problem with screen". I fell like I'm screwed, buyers remorse and wish I would have went with an Alienware. I'm glad I didn't get rid of the one I bought 3 years ago. Now I have to explain this to my other half, who stressed the RESEARCH part of this entire situation. That's going to be fun.

Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 9 - Overheating Issues

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

bI ought a Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 9 Intel (16") and despite its performance, it has serious issues: Excessive Heat: The keyboard, especially near the power button and touchpad, gets uncomfortably hot during use. Buzzing Sound: There's an annoying buzzing near the J and K keys. Community suggestions and tech support confirmed the laptop is defective. However, Lenovo refused a replacement, citing inventory shortages, though the product is still available on their website. This has been a frustrating and time-wasting experience. Lenovo’s lack of support and accountability is alarming. Think twice before buying from Lenovo.
