Have been eyeing this laptop every since it came out last year, has amazing reviews and decided to grab when it dropped to $1100. It does not disappoint. It is, well built and sturdy, has amazing performance, quiet, and a Small form factor. As a college student this laptop has been great. It doesn't have the usual gamer look, but it still catches some attention. Performance: Haven't tested more demanding games, but so far its dead quiet running Rocket League at 240fps. However, when I tested Cities Skylines 2 the fans do get really loud, performance seemed just about is expected of a Ryzen 7000 Screen: Its a great screen. OLED, 120Hz, and really bright. My only complaint is the glossy finish. Sound: In quiet mode it is really quiet, but when in performance mode, it gets really, really loud. I could hear it from across another room. Keyboard: It is a shame it doesnt atleast have per zone RGB at this price point, but It doesn't ruin the asthetic at all. The typing experience felt a lot better compared to my previous laptop (HP OMEN 16), especially the mousepad. The mousepad feels amazing. Quality: When it comes to quality this thing is a tank. The overall finish, and built quality of the chassis feels premium. The best part to me was the screen barely wobbles, and it doesnt seem to be a fingerprint magnet. Overall, it feels really solid. Battery: This was the main reason why I bought this laptop, the battery is really good. In quiet mode, 60hz, full keyboard backlight, and screen slightly dimmed, I get around 4 to 6 hours, depending on the workload. I have seen other users get around 8 hours though on video playback. Some notes which I believe are not mentioned: - GPU is 105W - I believe the RAM is soldered, so no upgradability there. - Speakers are average at best, but I always use headphones so not a problem for me - 100W USB C charging - No ethernet port - Has a fingerprint reader

Excellent laptop for the price and compact! The RTX 4060 does the job of the desktop variant and of the 140w TDP versions. There is not difference in performance other than the desktop one being 10% faster. This laptop excels from 1080p to 2k gaming. I can play OW2 with just about max settings at 120FPS in quiet mode. The fans aren't that loud in gaming mode. It moves a lot of air to cool it and very efficiently. My older Acer Helios fans were nowhere near as good! This PC is nearly silent when not gaming. 16GB is plenty for everyday users. I don't see the value in 32GB unless video editing, but then again, you would just pick up a Mac for that. 1TB is decent for SSD but add another. It's fairly easy to do. The screen is amazing. No backlight bleed or dead pixels. It's so enjoyable to look at! The battery should be excellent. Haven't tested it myself, but I know it gets 6-7hrs worth.

I got it for $1100, and for the price, it’s one of the better laptops I’ve used. Really good performance. Runs COD MWIII at 90+ FPS and it doesn’t heat up nearly as much as my previous laptops. I’m sure the AMD chip helps a lot with that. The 4060 doesn’t break a sweat either. Display is the best in the segment, few laptops out there can beat this beautiful 120hz OLED panel. Battery life is great as well (when not gaming), again thanks to the AMD chip. I use this for work on 10+ hour flights and don’t even have to plug it in. Overall really good if you want good performance, portability and battery life. The build quality is pretty good too, a little better than what you expect at this price range.

This laptop is one of the best one I’ve used as far as being portable and quiet for all use and being a 14” with a powerful cpu and gpu this thing can run alot of this years games no problem it’s software come in really handy and user friendly and it’s keyboard being not so bad to type in and it’s oled screen just makes the most out of being perfect for movies it’s double sided cooling on this laptop is very well built and design wise on the whole casing is really solid for it being plastic and overall beautiful build NOTE: this laptop doesn’t have a port for Ethernet which I really didn’t mind because I wouldn’t use it anyway so yeah best laptop

I've been using the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 for the past two weeks, and I’m thoroughly impressed with this laptop. It took me a few days to write this review because I wanted to fully understand the device’s strengths and weaknesses. I’m pleased to rate it a solid 9.5/10. This laptop is exceptional in many ways. The performance is robust, making it perfect for gaming and demanding tasks. One of the standout features is its display—it's incredibly smooth and visually stunning, providing an exceptional viewing experience. The only minor downside I've noticed is the battery life. While the battery performance is reasonable and the laptop boasts a super-fast charging system (faster than my phone, in fact), it doesn't last as long as I initially hoped. Given that this is a gaming laptop, it's understandable that battery life might not be as extensive. I highly recommend this device. It delivers excellent performance and an outstanding display, making it a fantastic choice for gamers and power users alike. The Computer is really good, it runs really fast, the oled screen gives great contrast. Ive had no issues with it. The speaker's are good for casual work and watching tv silently. However, if you have a busy house hold I reccommend headphones. I know the sony ones are great for audio. I use it for my business and video gaming.

Bought it at $999 when its on sale. The screen had really caught my eye when I decided to get it, and it met my expectations. It lasts pretty long on battery. Fans might be a little loud on performance mode, but you’ll still get a decent performance AND quiet fans on quiet mode. The only big problem I’d say is it only has 16GB RAM and its soldered, which makes it impossible for me to upgrade (should be a 32GB ver out there but never had a chance to buy it). Overall I would recommend this laptop if you really care about screen and battery performance.

This Laptop is a great purchase for anyone that wants to take gaming and editing on the go. It has a well rounded set of specs and can run a good amount of modern games on it on High settings. Personally I used this to Edit while on the road and to play games. Plus the OLED screen is definitely a nice addition.

The best laptop I have ever purchased. Haven’t had a single problem so far. I am very impressed by its performance for its size. The equipped OLED screen is also flawless and smooth. I use it on campus between classes, fits in my backpack easily. I overclock it at home with an air cooler and use my Samsung G8. Couldn’t be happier.

I'm planning on moving abroad in a couple months and wanted a laptop to replace my tower and give myself a bit more mobile setup. I spent months researching different gaming laptops before finally settling on this one. It also had the highest rating from buyers in 2023. I've had it for about a week or so as of writing this review. So far it's been an incredible computer. Great for games, able to run most at its highest setting with a good refresh rate. I took off the hardware stickers on the front with a bit of isopropyl alcohol, and it looks as clean as it does in the product pictures. Keyboard feels great. The default startup keyboard RBG looked a bit strange, but it is changeable in Lenovo's software (the pulse setting is much smoother than the wave setting). There were a lot of bloat programs pre-installed that I would recommend uninstalling for anyone else buying this computer. Battery life isn't great (lasts about an hour or two on battery while playing games), but I leave this machine on a desk, so it works fine for my needs. Fan is also quite loud while playing games, though it's not noticeable while wearing headphones. Heard from others that the hinges start wearing down after a year. With careful use, may not be much to worry about it. If you're using a separate monitor and almost never adjusting the screen, this could be a non-issue. Even with its issues, I love this thing. Every laptop will have its pros and cons, and this one is an excellent package at its price. Especially when on sale!

The OLED screen is what brought me to this laptop, but all the features made it my main PC. The OLED screen is absolutely beautiful, slim and professional design, efficient cooling during full hardware use in gaming, and CPU power are all 9f note. It's hard to beat this laptop at this price point.

An amazing machine capable of gaming yet so portable. The cherry on the icing is the beautiful 120 hz OLED display and a long lasting battery. The best budget friendly sub 15 inch gaming laptop in the market period.

I have looked far and wide for a portable gaming laptop, this one has finally fit the bill, after using it for a bit, here are my thoughts: Size: It is not as light or small as other 14" laptops, it does not fit a 14" Samsonite laptop bag I had, just barely. But, it is much lighter than traditional laptops, it is still very much compact and light to carry, charger size is reasonable, and if you don't need its high performance, you can use a 100w PD USB-C charger. Screen: The one common thread in what people say about this laptop, is how beautiful the display is, and I will repeat that, amazingly nice to look at content, gaming, web or otherwise, quite bright enough and colors are amazing, 120hz is a great touch too. Body: I personally am a fan of the more "serious" look of the machine, it will easily fit in a classroom or workplace without raising any eyebrows, I am a fan of the white LED keyboard, it's build quality is great, gives me some ThinkPad vibes. Performance: A high performing AMD CPU with an RTX 4060 with a 105w TDP, though in normal use it typically hovers in the 70-80w range in standard/auto mode, the high res display does make hitting the 120hz refresh not as simple, but doable. Heat/Noise: This to me is an important part, and this laptop passes with flying colors. Naturally, in turbo mode, it will get hot and loud. But, in the normal mode, it is quite well behaved, noise levels and temps being very fair for the fact it is a 14" laptop, included is a pic showing typical use temps in Cyberpunk. In silent mode you loose some performance but it gets very quiet, great! Final notes: It has a full size SD card slot, useful when I want to transfer photos, has no thunderbolt which is a big bummer and perhaps its biggest weakness is the lack of expandable ram, stuck at 16gb. It does have one M.2 slot for extra storage though. At the sale price of $1050 that I got it for, I am a very happy customer and would recommend this laptop for anyone who is looking for not a laptop that feels good to use, but also is amazing to look at, I rather have lower frames 60-120hz and an amazing high resolution OLED to a standard FHD 240hz panel, but this comes down to personal preference.

Great Laptop! I use this as a student and it helps run games as well as desktop work. All in 1 laptop with the smallest OLED screen. Worth the budget price. 4070 with balanced and high fan speeds are still quiet.

I bought this laptop for the OLED screen and MAN DID IT DELIVER. The 4060 crushes games, and when you need to save battery, you can just switch to integrated graphics. Zero complaints.

Amazing Display. Love the 140w usb c charging option. With the correct software configuration battery can last a long time. With the 4060 this is a great gaming laptop.

Just picked up yesterday after catching it on sale for $999 last month, couldn’t more thrilled for the price and value of this little beast! I’m only 24hrs in but everything has been smooth sailing. As other reviewers mentioned, the OLED display with 120hz refresh rate is gorgeous. Major upgrade from my Acer Nitro 5 1050 ti laptop. Had to confirm the power of this laptop and went ahead and crushed a benchmark! Really looking forward to loading up some games to really see this thing shine!

The laptop is quite functional and powerful with its GPU. The OLED screen is very sharp and true to colors. The keyboard could have been designed better. It shows light through the front of laptop and makes it difficult to concentrate on the screen when it is dark. There are still no keyboard covers or fitted cases available for this model if Lenovo Legion 14”.

Without a doubt the best 14 inch powerhouse right now! I’m a machine learning engineer and trust me this laptop is the best bang for buck out there! You can get this with a great sale only on Best Buy. I’ve watched tons of reviews of every 14 inch gaming laptops out there, I even have the Zephyrus G14 2023 with almost the same specs as this one and it’s not even close. Best buy says that the Legion slim 5 14” RAM is 5600 mhz but it actually has 6400 mhz which is extremely fast and you can actually tell the difference when multitasking compared to a regular DDR5 ram with 4800 mhz. The 1 TB SSD has amazing read and write speeds, it is basically a renamed samsung 980 pro. The GPU runs at its full power with 105W being passed so you don’t have to worry about performance. The only downside I would say is that the RAM is soldered which means it can’t be upgraded, I am a developer so I would have appreciated the extra RAM slot but trust me 16 GB still gets the job done in everything. The build quality is much superior compared to other laptops, this actually feels premium. The OLED Display is the absolute best feature this laptop has. Just gorgeous! Lenovo is killing it lately with these machine I would 100% recommend buying this if you catch a good sale.

What an awesome laptop! I have only had this rig for a weekend so far but I am enjoying every moment with it. I can run Diablo IV at high, averaging 90 FPS and COD MW2/3 at high, averaging about the same if not 5-8% less. Running on battery, it can maybe eek out 2 hours and change when playing a triple A title. Video playback can get upwards of 7 hours or more (depending on screen brightness, volume, etc). I haven't tested generic clerical tasks but I would imagine you could stretch it to 9 hours with the right settings. In my mind, the absolute killer take away for this machine is the screen. At a gorgeous 2880x1800 resolution, this OLED panel really brings out a vibrant and dynamic color range. Yes, it's only 14.5" diagonally but I quite honestly can't say I've seen a more impressive screen of this size (and at this price). I highly recommend to check one out in-store because the photos won't do it justice. Overall this has been a fantastic experience and as a mediocre gamer who wanted to remedy travel and games, this accomplishes that.
