Customers are saying
Customers commend the Legion Slim 7i 16" Gaming Laptop for its excellent performance and high-quality build. Positive feedback also highlights the bright screen and relatively light weight for a gaming laptop of this power. However, some users note that the battery life could be improved, and the fans can be loud during intensive use, generating noticeable heat.

Bad computer, worse support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a terrible computer. Have had the laptop since July. First issue has been using an external monitor to play games one. Computer cannot recognize different between laptop monitor and external monitor so system flickers continuously until you can unplug the external monitor. All software and drivers are up to date and have tried different external monitors with the same result. Now the fun begins. Computer will no longer power on. Batter will not charge, so plugged in or not plugged in, nothing, computer is a brick. Tech support, which we have Legion Ultimate with 1 day onsite support, was of no help. Instead of 1 day on site, they request we send the computer to a "repair depot". Did not appreciate that, so seems there is likely nothing that will qualify for the purchased 1 day onsite support. To make that even better, the provide paid shipping, but instead of overnighting them the computer, they provide ground shipping. Then upon receipt of the laptop on 10/20/2023, the "repair depot" replies back with proof of receipt and that they will inspect the issue by 11/9/2023. So what is the point. Also, if you are computer literate, do not expect tech support to be of assistance. This is outsourced to another country and they are just reading through their script even if you can perfectly explain the issue, you still will have to go through 10-20 random questions and still no help. They did say to call "post sales support". Guess what, "post sales" support requests you to get tech support to send you, the customer, and email with the tech issue and for you, the customer, to send that to post sales support. They do not have the ability in post sales support to connect into Lenovo's system and see the tech support ticket so the customer does. So they you call tech support back, wait 20 minutes, then spend 30 minutes explaining what post sales support requested the customer do for them to then say they cannot do such. One thing Lenovo has done wonderfully is create a system whereby a customer has no way to contact anyone who can help them. There are not methods to contact someone in the US if you are a US customer to try and work through an issue. I even called sales which was in the US, but they then transferred me to a number that ended up being back in the que of a group that had no ability nor desire to assist, just read their checklist and say we are here to help, but then provide no help. Lastly, to make it all better, Lenovo only allows 30 days from what i can tell to submit a product review. Who knows why that is, unless the reason is they only expect their products to last for 31 days. Needless to say, support is awful, but from post sales support and tech support. I get it if you are not a solid computer uses you may feel they do a good job as they are fixing a simple solution for you, but if you come with a real product malfunction, good luck. You will be without a computer for quite a while with no one at Lenovo to discuss it with that cares.

Nice, but RAM upgradability path sucks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got one of these from Best Buy expecting to be able to significantly increase the RAM. Turns out the 16GB of ram is an 8GB stick and 8GB soldered. WHY ISN'T IS JUST 16GB SOLDERED?! #significantBuyersRemorse
