We took it back and they (best buy) re ordered a new one of this make and model but before we took it home this time we had the geek squad check it. This time it turned on but didn't start up. 2 towers of this make and model and neither of them worked so we just got our money refunded. They really need to take this down on the site. They shouldn't offer something that's just going to end up as a over 1k side table.

After that it has been a quite stressful. The Best Buy stores are not taking phone calls, goes to an automated system. We spent $200 on Geek Squad tech support. It has been an horrific experience. Please don't waste the money. It is next to impossible to talk to a live agent. Once you do, you are transferred and put on hold. That is why I rated it one star. I will need therapy after this experience.

It is possible that resetting your computer back to original factory settings, even if you have not yet activated Windows 10, may correct the issue you describe. Ensure that your computer is connected to ac power during the recovery process. Be sure the connections at both the computer and the wall socket are good. Try powering on the computer once more after checking the power connection. If the issue continues, the Windows recovery environment on your computer operates independently from the Windows 10 operating system. It enables you to recover or repair the operating system even if the Windows 10 operating system fails to start. After two consecutive failed boot attempts, the Windows recovery environment starts automatically. Then, you can choose repair and recovery options by following the on-screen instructions. It randomly shuts down and loses everything you are working on. Geek squad has already looked through it and said I quote " if the problem persists it is in the hardware of the computer and that is not covered." The computer is barely 6 months old. I hope to get to a solution but at this rate I wouldn't recommend this computer to anyone.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Legion Tower 5 AMD Gaming Desktop Computer. This model ships with a 1-year, limited manufacturer's warranty, that covers OEM hardware issues. First though, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

To do this, power down the computer, then unplug the power cable from the wall. With the computer completely powered down, let the computer sit for 15-minutes. Now plug the computer back in and while you press the Power On button, at the same time, repeatedly tap the F2 Key until you see the Lenovo One Key Recovery Screen. Once you see the One Key Recovery Screen, follow the on-screen instructions for resetting the computer. Once the computer is reset, you should be able to boo the computer normally. If not, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 866-426-0911.
Dead on Arrival

The computer would not start. It kept making beeping noises, signifying the RAM was mispaced. I adjusted the RAM and still nothing. Took it to the store and they confirmed it was bad. I saw way too many reviews in the past couple of weeks for this computer that were negative, STAY AWAY.
