Seems good except for CPU heat/poss. CPU fan issue

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was initially impressed with the case & fans, and general performance in Windows, but I noticed in games and multi-core benchmarks the CPU gets too hot very fast. The CPU fan speed does not seem to increase, no matter what thermal mode (such as Performance) I set in Lenovo Vantage. I suspect CPU fan may not be connected to motherboard correctly, or BIOS may be programmed with bad CPU fan curve. Also possible that heatsink is not mounted with good contact. The Vantage settings for modes like Balanced or Performance make no difference in my fan speed or cooling--the fan stays at about 700 rpm all the time. The CPU temperature is OK if I change the CPU BIOS setting from "Boost" to "Default," but that loses some performance. My unit came set to "Boost" and I expected that the 150 W cooler would be good enough to support that setting. I hope the CPU fan logic is something that can be fixed in BIOS update or in Lenovo software, as I'm not comfortable messing around with the heatsink/fan, and it's too much trouble to return this unit now that I need it to work from home.

It is my first gaming computer but it was ready to go out of the box and is faster than any other computer I've ever been on. The graphics are awesome and the game play has been seamless. Definitely recommend for the casual gamer looking to get into the PC gaming world.

Great PC to get started

Great starter for anyone getting into gaming with of course the help of the NVDIA Graphics card! Plenty of space in the casing for upgrades as well too. The only flaw for this PC is when it is in sleep. The front Lenovo Logo pulsates with a blue light that you can’t turn off. Not the worst thing in the world but highly annoying if you have it in your bedroom

You can turn off the Legion Logo lighting there as well.
