Battery issue

Regarding your note on battery life, since this laptop is a gaming laptop, battery drain can be accelerated due to higher wattage draw from the system processor (CPU) and graphics card (GPU). Also, the AMD processor in this system does not feature integrated graphics, so the NVIDIA GPU is used for all tasks, and since it takes more power to run than an integrated graphics processor, the battery life is inherently shorter. While this information doesn't help to improve battery life, we hope that it can contribute to your understanding and boost your outlook on battery life from the system.

Firstly, we recommend running and installing all available drivers updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings, these updates are crucial to the device’s health and will affect power regulation leading to improved battery life. To check for updates within Lenovo Vantage begin by launching the application, then select the “Check for updates” button on the top of the right-hand of the display. To check for Windows Updates, start by launching the Settings app, then selecting the Windows Update tab on the left-hand side of the page, finally select the “Check for updates’ button located in the top right of the page.
Secondly, the LOQ Gaming Laptop allows you to change the computer’s thermal mode. This will allow your device to cycle between higher performance, quiet, or automatically adjust based on your needs. To start, launch the Lenovo Vantage app, select the "Device Settings" tab from the left-hand side of the display, scroll down to "Power modes" and select the best mode based on your needs. We suggest using Quiet mode which will lower the power consumption of your LOQ Gaming Laptop. You can also toggle thermal modes simply with the Fn+Q hotkey.

Since this model LOQ 15 is designed for gaming, maximizing power output, battery life can be inherently lower. Also, the processor in the laptop does not feature an integrated graphics processor, so the CPU constantly draws higher wattage.

The 1st time I went into the store, it was NEVER ordered. The 2nd time, it came in a box that was so damaged, I could literally see the computer while the sales Associate was still holding the box, unopened. He even made the statement, that they could check it to make sure it was ok and I could still take it! When I told him to reorder it, he attempted to open a new Progressive lease and wanted me to pay again. I then told him to remove the computer from my account! I’ve never had any trouble with my leases thru Best Buy, however this was very DISHEARTENING, to say the least. I had a freezer that was never delivered as well and they opened a new progressive account which has me paying for 2 separate accts. that’s costing me more money!
