A great computer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this computer. I was in between buying 2 different laptops but I'm very glad i chose this one. I mainly use it for school work and a little bit of photo editing and it runs super quick and smooth for both. I have tried to play a couple games and it runs well but certain games are a little bit glitchy. Other than that, the laptop is very nice. It is a little heavier than a regular laptop but still pretty light for how large it is. I also love all the features it has. I would recommend this computer to anyone needing it for schoolwork, work in general, photo editing, and light gaming. This laptop also comes with different modes depending on what you are doing. There is quiet mode where the on button light turns blue and the computers fan is very quiet. There is its regular mode and the on button is white and the fan is still quiet but you can hear it a little bit, more if you are playing a game with that mode. And there is performance mode where the light is red. Performance mode engages the fan a lot more so it does get pretty loud. The charger that comes with the laptop is very nice. It has a big battery block and a nice plug in. It charged my laptop pretty quickly. It does get very hot if you are playing a game with it plugged in. I would make sure you dont have the block on anything that could catch fire because it gets so hot. I would also avoid touching the block if it is that hot. The battery life of the loq lenovo is also pretty good. I can do school work on it without the charger for a couple hours. Id say about 3-4 hours from fully charged if you are on it the entire time. If you are using it through out the day or maybe an hour at a time it can last pretty much the whole day.

Great little gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box it's a solid laptop. The hard drive is a little on the small size and the ram is pretty low. But those are 2 very easy fixes. After upgrading both this laptop runs like a dream And I can play most of the games I enjoy. The battery life is very poor but for the price I'm fine with it. QwaAADC

Posted .Hi JOHNC,
Thanks for choosing Lenovo and for sharing your feedback with us!
Regarding your issue with battery – as you may know there are lots of variables that contribute to battery and in gaming laptops that can increase even more due to their high-powered processors and graphics cards. If you want to squeeze out more battery life and are completing non-intensive graphics tasks, you can utilize the MUX switch built into this model to turn off the dedicated GPU to greatly decrease power draw. This can be done in the Lenovo Vantage app > top right box > GPU working mode, then choosing your preferred method. Users can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both words, along with custom settings configurable in Lenovo Vantage. You could also press the Fn + R key combo to toggle to a lower refresh rate for even greater power conservation.
We are pleased to read that this LOQ 15 is otherwise working out well for you.
Please let us know what else we can do to try to improve your experience with us, as your satisfaction is important to us.

Great value gaming laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THE GOOD: -pretty screen, if you don't need 4k/OLED -very solid performance on gaming, I've ran no man's sky and fortnite on good settings and get 75-100 fps -upgradeable! Can add a second ssd and it has 2 ram slots, only one of which is filled, so for like $65 you can double or so its memory capabilities by giving it a second channel and 4 extra gb of ram, same for storage though thats more expensive (max capacity of 32gb ram, 2x 1 tb ssd) case is fairly easy to remove and ssd/ram is easily accessible from only removing the back panel. Tiny screwdriver and a spudger is all you need. -built in overclock ability from Lenovo, very cool, still stays under 70-75°C temps on cpu + gpu -BACKLIT FREAKIN KEYBOARD AND NUMPAD(!!) makes it far more useful for a number of reasons -decent built in camera and speakers, though they could be louder, meh camera performance in low light. To be expected though. -it is very good at keeping cool, especially for a gaming laptop. -surprisingly quiet and thin and light for a gaming laptop -power cord plugs in the back side, much more comfortable to use imo. Usb ports on back and right side, has a ethernet port also on back, usb-c on right is good for charging (if not gaming, heavy use will discharge faster than usbc can manage), data transfer, and charging. The bad: Windows 11 lol. Its awful. Battery life is as you'd expect for gaming, definitely must be plugged in if you're not just watching a video or websurfing or something For some reason it's got a load of AI helpers built in, disabling those was a chore but its possible. The Microsoft copilot button on the keyboard can be rekeyed to something actually useful (i have it as a clipboard basically) Thats it! Amazing quality for a new laptop capable of fairly modern gaming at decent framerate, i only paid $550 plus tax. 10/10 would buy again. ^ this review was written after roughly 1 month of daily use

Decent Gaming Laptop with Budget Friendly Pricing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not without strength! It’s a nice screen and the keyboard is well backlit and a good design in terms of F keys. Graphic are meeting expectation though I am not pressing it. I like the durable feel but it is a tank — hopefully, I never drop it on my toe! The batter seems short lived as presently configured — I do use the keyboard lit. It was $650 tax and shipping included so my expectations are met. Looks like I have to buy a USB-C charger aftermarket as it comes with a proprietary connector that I’ve not seen. Ports are mostly on the back and that’s refreshing. One month in and I am happy with the purchase.

Best Bang for your Buck Budget gaming laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If your looking for a laptop that can run most modern video games at 60-90 or higher if its an older title. Can be a little slow on startup. Pretty good once it gets running. It also has some upgradable parts or at least I've heard that. Overall id definitely recommend if your looking for an affordable budget gaming laptop on sale!

My Lenovo
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works pretty well though a RAM of 16 GB would do better than 12 GB for that price range. Also, on the downside, battery runs down fast. I like the two levels of lighting in the backlit keyboard makes working in different light conditions much friendly to the eyes

Thank you for choosing Lenovo and sharing your feedback with us. We are happy to hear that the Lenovo LOQ is working well for you. We have noted your comments on the amount of RAM offered in this model and may use that to improve future products. We do have a suggestion for your battery life issue.
Your laptop also comes with the capability to control the performance and thermal mode of your device; this can be used to reduce the battery consumed when using basic tasks. You can find these options in Lenovo Vantage. Start by launching Lenovo Vantage, then selecting the “Expand Menu” option in the top left corner, choose “Device settings’ on the left hand-side of the page, finally scroll down to “Power modes” and select “Quiet Power”. You can also toggle between these modes using the Fn + Q hotkey.

I’d buy again!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this knowing what it was, and for that, it’s great. It’s a lower end gaming laptop that can handle most higher end games at medium settings. Battery life isn’t great and ssd is small, but again, low end. I use an external HD and just keep it plugged in.

Great laptop for beginning PC gamers

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good at gaming for the price i got it for. Great for any office task. Very fast and responsive. The battery life is decent and sometimes the laptop gets noticeably warm while charging, but I'd say it's expected for any laptop with a decent GPU.

Great laptop for gaming and school use
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been really impressed with this laptop so far. It handles my schoolwork and gaming without any lag, and the Ryzen 5 with the RTX 4050 makes everything run super smooth. The screen is bright and clear, and it feels well-built. It’s a bit on the heavier side, but that’s normal for a gaming laptop. Overall, it’s totally worth it if you want great performance and nice graphics for the price.

Good Choice.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I had to give a grade, I'd say my purchase was quite satisfactory. It gives me what I wanted: smooth gameplay, a good graphical experience, and the ability to multitask without the device lagging behind. Of course, it's not an ultra-high-end computer that handles everything at its best in 4K with 240 Hz, but for my profile (serious but not ultra-demanding gamer), it's perfectly adequate.

Posted .Hey GorgonC,
Thank you for choosing Lenovo and for sharing your feedback with us!
Regarding fan noise when plugging in your LOQ, this is normal, as your system is receiving a surge in power input, and if the device is not in quiet/cool thermal mode, the system will take advantage of this raised power input, boosting internal processing speeds, which can produce more heat, causing the fans to active to counteract this.
We are glad to hear that your experience with your LOQ 15 has been good overall.
Please feel free to reach out to us should you have any questions or experience any issues.

Budget Gaming Laptop That Punches Above Its Weight
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Is this the best gaming laptop? Not quite. But for a budget-friendly option, it’s one of the best you can get. Powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 7235HS CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPU, this laptop can handle nearly any AAA game at solid settings without issues. With 12GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, load times are fast and multitasking is smooth. Display & Extras: 15.6" Full HD display with 144Hz refresh rate—excellent for gaming at this price. Keyboard backlighting for style and convenience. Software: Only keep Lenovo Vantage and Nahimic; the rest is mostly bloatware. Vantage is handy for keeping BIOS, drivers, and firmware up to date. Performance Modes (via Lenovo Vantage): Optimized: Overclocks components. Generates extra heat and stress, so I avoid it. Balanced: My daily go-to when plugged in—best mix of performance and stability. Best Power Efficient: Auto-set when unplugged. Saves battery, but performance is limited. Downside: Battery life is weak—2–4 hours for basic use like browsing is disappointing. Bottom line: For the price, especially if you can snag a sale or open-box deal, the Lenovo LOQ 15.6" delivers incredible value. Short battery life is a drawback, but performance and features make it a standout budget gaming laptop. Plus most people will have it plugged in at most times.

Nice budget gaming laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price I bought it at which was $600, this is an excellent laptop for both gaming and productivity Although plastic all around, it doesn’t feel cheap, the keyboard feels nice enough and the screen is actually pretty good although the battery life is someone to complain about

Excellent!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Actually enjoy this gaming laptop, pros, runs most games on high or epic, screen quality is very good, keyboard has a nice feel and minor click, fans and plug ins are decent. Cons, loud fan noise but stays cool and below 75°c for me after long gaming, battery life is very very problematic, stays plugged in all the time I’m on it. Good gaming computer for the price, I have it hooked up to a monitor with a keyboard and mouse for a better experience.

Great laptop for those on a budget
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is a great purchase for someone on a budget. Picked it up on sale and have been happy ever since. I did upgrade the ram to 32 gbs and since doing that I’ve seen a major improvement in speed and performance. Plays the games I love at max settings while still getting good fps. Definitely recommend if you don’t have a lot to shell out for a higher end laptop.
