Customers are satisfied with the LOQ 15.6" Gaming Laptop's performance, graphics, storage capacity, and ease of use, frequently praising its value for the price. However, some users noted concerns regarding battery life, fan noise, screen brightness, and the laptop's weight and heat generation during use. Many suggest a RAM upgrade to enhance performance. The overall experience appears positive, but potential buyers should consider these trade-offs.

Christmas present for the teen. He said he wanted another laptop. It replaced his older gaming one which was an entry level Ryzen 7 8gb 256gb 4 gb Gx graphic card 15.6". That one wasn't bad but the chiclet keys came off easily after awhile. This one however is an upgrade (even in price considering holiday pricing too). This one - 16 gb ram, Intel i5 core, 1 TB storage, 6 gb RTX 3030 g-card 15.6" display and lighted keyboard (on sale for less than 600). Much better for the price (considering i paid more for the previous one with lesser specs). So if you can find this one, highly recommend it.

Performs extremely well, capable of running every game I've tried running on it. The only downside is the fans get very loud even when doing minuscule tasks and the battery life is horrible so it's necessary to have it plugged almost at all times. The screen is very fragile so be careful with it, I'm getting mine repaired now.

I immediately added another 16GB of memory, now there are 24GB in total. What is superior to my 3 year old Omen is the cooling system. It is incredibly quiet in operation. The screen is as expected at the entry level - 45% ntsc. However, the refresh rate make it extremely smooth. It is very snappy in operation. I bought it when it was on sale for $750. The keyboard is great. I absolutely recommend this laptop for the discounted price I bought it for.

Lenovo was a brand i was introduced to back in high school where students were given think pads to use and back then the laptops were of a simple design but work horses nonetheless. Now a few years later I once more look into their products when looking for a gaming laptop and was pleased to see the improvements in designs which, although not important to me, can be a deciding factor for those on the fence about going with Lenovo or with a different brand. I very much like the design of this laptop especially the back part with the blue design and although heavy it makes up for it with its performance. Since its my starting gaming laptop I was not looking to spend much and the deal I got it for was amazing. A 13th gen i5 is an enormous upgrade from the 7th gen i5 my MacBook used and even thought it comes with only 8gb of ram, being able to further upgrade it is great and i have done so by installing another 8gb ram stick which greatly increased the overall performance and I even need more when using it especially since windows 11 uses alot of ram and i like having a few applications open while gaming. Thats where the 3050 comes in. Thus far im still new to haming rigs so im not too sure what setting i need to have to take advantage of the capabilities of the graphics card but will look into this but so far i have enjoyed great performance on games like GTA V, Fortnite, Valorant, etc. i would definitely recommend this computer for someone looking to get a good gaming laptop that’s affordable but offers good performance and upgradibility on ram and storage(I think?) Lenovo has outdone themselves and I will very likely in the future be coming back to purchase another gaming laptop or maybe a pc, we shall see.

Very good laptop for the price (well...the price I paid for it, anyway). I use this model as my daily driver. I added a stick of RAM that I had lying around from a previous purchase to make a total of 16 GB, and the upgrade increased the performance considerably.
I bought the device for around 400 dollars open box, which is a heck of a deal. I hover around theAA/indie category in terms of my game selections, and it plays them all rather well. I play mainly on medium/high graphics settings with no issues. Think games like Tekken 8, Sekiro, Lies of P and others of that ilk. The laptop plays what I like, and it works for me.
Had I paid more for it, I probably wouldn't feel the same way. For the right price, this LOQ variant gets the job done. It's a great starter gaming PC if you don't care about maxing out on ultra settings.
The battery is kind of meh, but it's expected: it's a gaming laptop, after all.
You will game modestly, but you will game.

I really don't know that you can find a better deal. Is it the highest end laptop - certainly not...but a heck of a lot better than a non gaming laptop without a video card FOR THE SAME PRICE RANGE?!. This makes it feel like all other laptops with integrated graphics and no dedicated GPU are a rip off.
Works great for what it is, its zippy for daily applications and I'm able to use Xplane to practice instrument maneuvers at over 60FPS, and play League of Legends. Haven't used it for much else, other than studying. Those are literally the only 3 things I wanted to be able to do with it when I'm traveling and stuck in hotels in the evening. I was very impressed/happy it could run Xplane, so I'm sure it can run a lot more titles. I wouldn't dare try it in VR, or play FPS multiplayer games but zooming in on the G1000 to practice approach/departure plates in a Cessna 172, mostly using autopilot - it certainly does the job.
It is quite heavy, but as are most gaming laptops that need to cool a video card. I expected that.
The fans will get quite loud when asking for performance, again I expected this (gaming laptop with a video card...it's part of the deal), It doesn't bother me as I wear a headset. You would not be able to play a game without a headset in performance mode (without being annoyed anyway).
Charges fast....crazy fast. It went from 3% to 33% in <10minutes the other day.
Has easy to use software to control performance, battery lasts a long time when not plugged when not doing anything that requires performance, but you better plug it in for anything that does!
At the end of the day, please do your research. If you're playing single player games in 1080P and don't need all the frames in the world, this is a good little laptop if you're on a budget. Maybe you travel a lot and would like to play some basic games without spending $2k.
Keep in mind NVIDIA marketing can come off as misleading. The laptop RTX series video cards are NOT on par with the desktop RTX series. I hate that they brand them the same. RTX 3050 benchmarks lower than a GTX 1070 for perspective.

I bought this laptop to replace my 2021 Surface Go Laptop. My workload was increased recently, and I needed something with a lot more RAM. Since most laptops only come with soldered RAM these days, upgrading the hardware was not an option for the Surface Go. I was lucky enough to catch this one on a sale and with savings I bought 32gb of highspeed RAM to replace the 8gb this laptop came with. Thanks to the reviews and pics on Best Buys site, I was able to complete the process without any issues. Currently I use the laptop for work mostly and some light gaming. My only complaint is the USB-C port. It does NOT support thunderbolt peripherals. It will output to Display Port 1.4 and support some USB-C docks/hubs, but beware it will not output to HDMI via USB-C. There is a HDMI 2.1 connection in the back of the laptop, which is fine for those who just one a second monitor. In my case, I wanted to add 2 additional monitors. I still can, but I need to make sure that the monitors have both HDMI and Display Port inputs. Not a deal breaker for me obviously, because this machine can handle everything I throw at it on a daily basis. Since I'm a casual gamer as well, I like that I can use the same machine to work and game. Battery is average even with all the battery saving software turned on. I can get about 2 to 3 hours with light browsing and watching videos with sound/screen brightness at 70%. Gaming on battery power is bad, but that can be said for all gaming laptops. It's a steal if you can catch it below $900. All and all it's a great work laptop and a good entry level gaming laptop for those of you looking for a little bit of both world!

As an avid gamer and enthusiastic tech reviewer, I've had the opportunity to test and evaluate a wide range of gaming laptops, and the Lenovo LOQ 15.6" Gaming Laptop FHD has impressed me with its balance of performance, portability, and affordability. This sleek and powerful device is an excellent choice for gamers seeking a reliable and enjoyable gaming experience without breaking the bank.
Performance that Packs a Punch
At the heart of the Lenovo LOQ lies the 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13420H processor, a capable chip that delivers smooth and responsive gameplay in a variety of titles, from casual indie games to demanding AAA masterpieces. The processor's 8 cores and 16 threads ensure seamless multitasking and efficient handling of complex gaming scenarios, ensuring that you can switch between tasks or engage in intense gaming sessions without encountering any lag or performance bottlenecks.
Complementing the processor is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card, a mid-range GPU that delivers exceptional performance for its class. With its 6GB of GDDR6 dedicated memory, the RTX 3050 can render stunning visuals and handle high-resolution gaming with ease. Whether you're exploring intricate fantasy worlds or battling through fast-paced action sequences, the Lenovo LOQ provides an immersive and visually captivating gaming experience.
Immersive Display for Enhanced Gameplay
The Lenovo LOQ's 15.6-inch Full HD display is a delight for gamers, providing a crisp and vibrant picture that brings games to life. The 144Hz refresh rate ensures smooth and responsive gameplay, eliminating distracting screen tearing and ensuring that every frame is rendered smoothly and accurately. This is especially crucial for fast-paced action games and competitive multiplayer matches, where split-second reactions can make all the difference.
Ample Storage and Memory for a Seamless Gaming Experience
With 8GB of DDR4-3200 memory, the Lenovo LOQ has ample RAM to handle even the most memory-intensive games. The laptop also features a 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD, providing lightning-fast boot times, rapid loading screens, and ample storage space for your game library. This combination of memory and storage ensures that you can load into games quickly, enjoy smooth gameplay without any stuttering, and store a vast collection of titles without worrying about running out of space.
Portability and Design for Gaming on the Go
While performance is paramount, portability is also a factor for gamers who travel to tournaments, competitions, or LAN parties. The Lenovo LOQ strikes a perfect balance between power and portability, weighing in at a mere 5.29 lbs and measuring just 0.99 inches in height. This makes it easy to transport the laptop between events or use it comfortably on the go without sacrificing performance.
Additional Features for a Complete Gaming Experience
The Lenovo LOQ is packed with additional features that enhance the overall gaming experience. Its backlit keyboard provides comfortable typing even in low-light conditions, while its dual speakers deliver immersive audio for in-game sound effects and music. The laptop also features a variety of connectivity options, including HDMI, USB-C, and Wi-Fi 6, ensuring compatibility with external monitors, gaming peripherals, and high-speed internet connections.
Conclusion: A Gaming Laptop that Delivers Value
In conclusion, the Lenovo LOQ 15.6" Gaming Laptop FHD is an exceptional choice for gamers seeking a balance of performance, portability, and affordability. Its powerful processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card, 144Hz display, and ample storage make it a formidable tool for competitive gaming and immersive entertainment. Whether you're dominating the virtual battlefield or collaborating on strategy sessions, the Lenovo LOQ delivers an unparalleled gaming experience that will elevate your gaming endeavors. I wholeheartedly recommend this laptop to any gamer looking for a reliable and powerful companion for their gaming adventures.

This Lenovo LOQ 15 laptop was on sale at Best Buy for $680. I needed a medium to low end gaming laptop that could handle my favorite game: Mass Effect Legendary. I usually play via my desktop - Ryzen 7 3700x, 16GB RAM, RTX 3060. However, I needed a portable solution for the Summer months. Most gaming laptops were priced way out of my budget (over $1200-$2000); so I went for this Lenovo LOQ 15 - Intel i5 13th gen, 8GB RAM, and discreet RTX 3050 graphics chipset. It played my game flawlessly after upgrading the RAM to 16GB (there are two RAM slots and one extra NVMe M.2 slot for storage). Don't expect to run AAA games at high-ultra settings on a RTX 3050. But this laptop is quite fast for medium to low gaming settings. The only con I can think of is it gets very hot during gameplay.

I originally picked up the HP Victus with same specs with the exception of the DDR5 RAM this one has. It’s a Christmas gift for my son so decided to test it out but I had issue such as stuck touch pad and loud fans. Long story short I returned 2 HP laptops. I saw this Lenovo that was only $50 more and came with the same specs but with 1TB of storage and DDR5 RAM I thought why not. I’m really glad I did, so far it has outperformed the HP laptop in the ways I needed it to. It plays games well and looks a bit more crispy. I will say it feels a little more plastic than the HP did but for the my needs it fits the bill. My son will be happy this Christmas for sure!

So far so good! Wanted an updated computer from the one I had which I only used for school. I can definitely see the difference in speed. I also upgraded it to 32gs from the 8gs it already comes with, so definitely fast. I don’t game much but tried 2 games out to see how smooth it would run and it’s been smooth. I will agree that The battery definitely does die fast but honestly I keep it plugged in most of the time anyway so not really an issue. I got it for about 600 on a daily deal and I’m really happy with it so far.

I just got the Lenovo LOQ 15.6” Gaming Laptop with the Intel Core i5, and wow, I’m really happy with it so far! Setting it up was super easy, and it powered up quickly without any issues.
I mainly use it for a mix of gaming and school stuff, and it’s been great for both. The screen is really sharp, and the colors look awesome when I’m gaming or watching videos. It handles everything smoothly, no lag when switching between apps or running games, which is a huge plus.
The keyboard is also a win—it’s super comfy to type on, and the backlight is super helpful when I’m in a darker room. Battery life is okay—it could be a little better when gaming, but that’s kind of expected with gaming laptops, right?
Overall, I’m really impressed with this laptop. It’s a solid mix of performance and price, and it works perfectly for what I need. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good gaming laptop that doesn’t cost a fortune!

By combining 8gb Ram with the 6gb of dedicated video memory this laptop can handle newer games. Played Outriders out of external SSD without a single hiccup. It can handle heat extremely well, just make sure you raise the laptop for better air circulation. I bought on sale for $750, can't complain.

I am happy with everything except the battery life. The processor is fast, the 8Gb of memory is adequate for my needs, and the 1Tb SSD is great. In about 2 months of daily usage, it has only gotten buggy one time and had to be restarted. So overall I am pleased with the performance, except for one thing: The BATTERY SUCKS! I can only get about 2-3 hours of moderate use out of it, (just email, Microsoft Excel, and web surfing), before I get a warning to plug it back in. This is pitiful. My last laptop was a cheap $350 Acer, and its battery would last 7 to 8 hours of continuous use. This laptop feels heavy, so I was hopeful the battery would be large, but apparently that is not the case. Maybe I have a defective battery or something. Fortunately, I am able to plug it in most of the time when I'm working, but if you need more than 2 hours of life, DON'T buy this laptop.

It is doing exactly what I need it for, Unreal Engine 5 and Solidworks are well handled and have quick startup after adding a cheap DDR5 16Gb RAM - for 24Gb total. I am an engineer and this 1080p laptop does all I need it to do for my projects. 4 stars for short lasting battery, but find an outlet and design all day.

Over all its a fast machine for gaming, after you have at least upgraded the memory. Now days, 8 gb of memory just doesn't cover it. I gave it only a 4 star for these reasons. The battery only last maybe 3 hours with normal use. Gaming about half that amount. Theres no documentation on upgrading memory or drives. There are 2 slots for m.2 nvme drives. Main slot has an 2242 (42mm) long, and second slot you can install a 2280 (80mm) long. The main slot has a second standoff to mount a 2280, but the standoff for the 2242 is nonremovabke, so you can't install a 2280. The largest 2242 mm drive out there to buy a is 2tb. I did put a 4tb in the second slot and upgraded memory to 32gb. Hopefully this will help someone out

Purchased as an Open Box Excellent condition and was very satisfied with quality. laptop came tightly wrapped inside a blue box with insulation. It turned on without issue. the i5 13420H and RTX3050 6GB is a good pairing. This laptop was bought for light/moderate gaming and doesnt dissapoint. even under stress, its relatively quiet. Theres definitely fan noise but its much better then other gaming laptops i own or have owned. It runs quick and snappy and is used almost every day. However multitasking is limited as the 8gb of RAM will not let you do too much. I will probably upgrade it later down the line. But for now it's been holding up. I would say a downside is the screen. All budget gaming laptops have to sacrifice somewhere and the brightness on this is where they did. its respectable but being used to something brighter, it will take some getting used to on this darker screen. i believe this one is 300nits? i have another gaming laptop with 500nit screen and its very noticeable. Its not a dealbreaker but something to keep in mind. Otherwise its probably the perfect entry/mid gaming laptop out there.

I liked the laptop in terms of performance, it works quickly, games can be played at maximum speed, although it gets very hot when you play, and the battery does not last well when playing games, but I recommend it
