This was a blind buy, and definitely one of the better ones. I had high hopes and was greatly anticipated this release based on the positive buzz when it was released theatrically. It's a solid movie that I'd rewatch again soon. This release has great picture and sound quality. I picked up the steelbook release and it's by far one of the betters ones.

Loved the show on Broadway, as well as the O2 concert DVD. It's great to have this DVD available to enjoy the magic of Les Miserables again and again. Some of the casting was questionable, and didn't live up to the standards of the live Broadway show and O2 DVD, but overall good enough, with excellent performances from Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman.

The movie was a good movie. I've never seen it so I had low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised and I think the acting was very good, and they had good voices for all of the singing they did. The story was good also.

Great film from the cinematography, to how it was produced and the writing of the music. I didnt think some of these actors could sing the way they were singing which made it a very interesting movie. Very good movie as a whole, replay value might be twice a year max. The singing eventually gets to you if you re-watch this to many times.

This should've won the Best Picture in my opinion. I've seen Argo which is a good movie. But personally, this movie deserves the best picture award. However, I don't think Anne Hathaway deserves the bes supporting actress. She was good in this movie but not enough role or exposure to deserve the award.

Bought for my daughters who are huge fans. My girls love it and are very excited to own it and have watched it several times since. I am a bit partial to theoriginal, non-musical version. I think some scenes are a bit overplayed, but it is big budget Hollywood musical. I'd rather see it on Broadway.

Everything about this movie is amazing, well, besides Russel Crowes singing, but besides that it is the best movie since Phantom of the Opera in terms of musicals movies. Even if you don't like musicals, I recommend this one to at least give it a watch. It's such a beautiful movie

If you liked the musical, you'll likely appreciate this movie. Even if the singing isn't as amazing as the concert performances, it is still worth watching - if only to get a better grasp on the story. For me, though I've seen the musical a few times, there were a few details I didn't quite understand in the story/song until I watched this version.

This is a wonderful version of one of the all-time classic musicals. I'm very impressed with the actors and how they sang their own parts. In terms of the SteelBook, it is a very nice product. The art looks great, especially the inside art. I'm very happy to have this collector's edition steelbook and hope we get more like this in the future.

Les Miserables is undoubtedly one of the most cherished musicals of all time. The 2012 film features brilliant performances from Hathaway (Academy Award Winner), Crowe, and Jackman. The cinematography and direction captures the classic essence of the story and music all while crafting something contemporary and exciting. Highly recommended!

I previously saw the 25th Anniversary Les Mis celebration on public television and was thrilled Hollywood produced its version. It's too expensive to see on stage, and this gave me the opportunity to watch Les Mis at home with my own sound system. Awesome!

I must say that I prefer the 2012 adaptation to the 1998 version. While both versions have star-studded casts and are well made, I felt more of an emotional connection with the more recent film. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed Les Mis. Anne Hathaway took me away, and from that moment past after she sang I Dreamed a Dream, I knew I was hooked. Although some her support was weak (Russel Crowe), and I did not particularly care for the comic relief, the base story is just too strong, and it overcomes its faults.

The film is a great musical for all people even those who don't like them. I enjoyed this movie and the steelbook is amazing. The quality is great and so is the artwork. The bluray picture is really good along with the audio. Buy It.

I had read the book in HS, and seen the drama version with Liam Need on and Geoffrey Rush, but never seen the musical before. The music and emotion blew me away, and I knew I would be buying this when it was released.

Have seen the play live and now watched on film. The live vocals are incredible and I was able to understand the story line much better given the opportunity to watch several times. Must own for the theatre buff.

Was not able to see this movie when it was being shown in the cinemas (parents with young kids will understand...). A great movie to watch in the comfort of your home with the missus

Despite having seen this on the big screen a couple of times tears just seem to well up every time I watch this movie. The story & "in your face" camera work add to the emotional ride. A must have!

Absolutely loved this movie, was in tears at the ending of it. These actors performed a different side that I would never imagine and I loved it!
