Good for about a year... Literally a few days after a year passed it started having issues turning on. The panel would barely light up but after a few tries plugging and unplugging it finally came on. I have seen that before in other cheap electronics and after a few days all of the lights went out. I took it apart to find what I was expecting, a burst capacitor on what appears to be the power feed to the panel. One of the screws holding the back panel in place is a triangle security screw and my bit holder did not fit but eventually managed to get it out with a smaller screwdriver. Very disappointed on it lasting just a couple of days past one year. Of course i had just installed an expensive new replacement filter. I’m going to replace the two bulged caps but will never again buy this brand. You can see the leak from the capacitor in the photo.

I loved this purifier for my crib, but after about a year and a half of owning it and swapping out filters on time, it just randomly stopped working and coming on all together. Tried different outlets but for some reason this purifier just stopped working and when plugging it in I got no power to the machine.

Most reviews you see on this product are people that have just purchased the unit or have used it for only a few months. After only a few months, if I had written a review on this product, I would have given it 5 stars, but it has been 2.5 years and I have a much better perspective. So I bought a total of 5 of these when the pandemic hit. And they are awesome. The app is great, they work very well. But that lasts for anywhere between 6 to 11 months. Every single one of my units failed in that timeframe. Levoit replaced the unit with a new one, but they also let me keep the broken one. Kudos to them, excellent customer service. Being a tech person, I decided to take apart the broken units and every single one had the same fault. On the power pcb board, there are two capacitors. Either one or both of them were blown on every unit. I repaired all 5 of my broken units. So basically I had 10 units. The next thing that goes out on every unit after the capacitors is the air quality sensor, it will start cycling the unit from high speed to low speed every 30 seconds or so. That then fries the unit and I was not able to repair it. This happens after about another 6 months of use, so I got a total of roughly 1 to 1.5 years out of each unit by knowing how to do a repair and also a free replacement that went through the same cycle of problems. The 2 stars is because I would expect the unit to last longer than it did. Also after having it happen to all 5 I purchased as well as the 5 replacements by Levoit, I think it is safe to assume that the vast majority if not all units have this problem. So, in summary, if you are not a tech person, expect the unit to fail in 6 to 11 months. Expect a replacement from Levoit which will be under warranty, and then expect another 6 to 11 months out of it. If you are a tech person, expect to get another 6 months out of each unit. This may be ok for you, I expected more. But only you can decide, and now you have the information to make that decision.

Loved using this air purifier. Put in a lot of work during the fires a few months back and kept me aware of the air quality (I actually ended up installing weathering strip on my door to keep the smoke out. If I didn't have the air purifier I wouldn't have even known it was seeping through the crack). It works well and I liked being able to control it through the app. Unfortunately, it didn't last! Bought this in August 2020 and it's already given out. I was using the filter provided until it signaled for me to install a new one. Bought a whole pack of filters and before I could even install it the motor on it must've died or something. It won't even turn on anymore. Very disappointed. I expected this thing to last me awhile, but not even hitting the year mark is very disappointing.

I want to love this unity, really I do. It performs decently for the price. Not great, not bad, just decent. I have noticed an improvement in my breathing and my skin since purchasing it. I also like the price of the replacement filters. But the interface is very unreliable. I brought it home, set it up, and let it run for 72 hours. It's supposed to give you an indication of your air quality. Blue is great, green is fair, and red is poor. The light is always blue. If my air quality was that great, I wouldn't have needed this in the first place. I have doubts on the square footage this unit supposedly covers. And it does nothing to get rid of smells. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't repurchase this. I wanted to return it but you only have 15 days.

These are great, when they work. I purchased four of them, one by one they all died. My third one just died today. I assume the fourth one will die eventually. The company is great at getting you a replacement but what good is a replacement if eventually they will die. Here's what occurs so you are aware its broken and not working properly. The unit's fan begins at high speeds intermittently (around every 5-10) minutes or so) as if the air is contaminated. The device will continue to do this however, the duration will shorten to every 1-2 minutes. You would assume the air is pretty contaminated I am so glad I bough this device, but, no that's not it. I put another one in the room and quickly determined it was not working properly. Now, in order to determine if this device is broken, you would have to do something that will ultimately kill the machine to the point it will no longer power up. That action is unplug the device. Once you unplug the device, that's it. If the device is indeed defective, the unit will no longer work and the constant fan blowing no longer operates, its a paper weight or better yet, a floor weight. I will call Levoit and they will probably send another, but I would predict another call as the fourth one eventually dies, and maybe the replacement will also. I can't recommend this device

It purifies the air but my issue is the panel covering the filters falls off with the slightest bump or tap on the unit. Will be returning mine because this us a sadtey isdue as i have a tiddler.

Was great until today. I replaced the filters today as I do regularly and now the unit will not power on! Tried everything and you have to leave a message on their Customer Service number....no LIVE phone calls! Pretty poor! I registered the unit for a two year warranty but even that ran out about a month ago. Hopefully someone from Levoit will respond here.

I purchased 4 of these items for my home. They work well - quietly and efficiently. Until they break! 2 of the 4 were replaced under warranty. The third broke just after two years. Simply won’t turn on. I am done with Levoit products.

Came with a taped up box. Not the same model number. Box says 290 Sq ft. not 361. This unit seems noisier than it should be at the lowest two settings. Can't easily sleep with the "sleep" setting. Best Buy limited the return period on this item so we can't return it now.

Love it while it worked. This filter was great for just over a year.. then it just randomly wouldnt turn on. Levoit support wanted a video of the problem, as well as a bunch of other documentation in order to even assist in trouble shooting. Overall so disappointed.

I bought 2 of these units to put in a house I was selling to keep the air fresh since no one was living there. They did a nice job. Since then about 3 months after purchasing them the wi-fi has started to go flaky. First one started to lose connectivity and then a few weeks later the other one started acting up. After losing connectivity they have to be unplugged (30 seconds) and then set back up again. I contacted support via email and they were not very helpful as that is what they told me to do, but it keeps happening. If you are going to set it on auto and let it run 24x7 then it is a good unit, but if you want to automate it to turn on/off at certain times then look elsewhere.

Didnt really notice a difference. In addition i would change the filter but it keeps showing it needed to be replaced even though they were brand new.

got this as it was a good deal, 361 sq ft ( as shown on the product information ) and around $180? seems perfect. i pick it up and get it home to see the box that says "up to 290 sq ft" so i think i got the wrong product. nope its the correct product model # was the same so i figured id try it out any way since the reviews were so good. after using it a few days air quality didn't change a bit and as far as odor .... well my dog would pass gas right beside it and no change in that smell. so sadly it will be returned

I looked up air purifiers that were specifically designed for smoke. This one is supposed to detect the smoke and turn on when it detects it. Well, my neighbors are bad chain smokers and this thing never detects their smoke. I manually turn it on and it KINDA helps, but not really.

Lasted less than year then it gave out. I used it for a small room 12x12 room

Cant sync into my wifi. Also false color detections for clean/dirty air (possibly because it cant sync to my network or app)

Bought two in March 2021. Works great...except one is completely dead. For the price I would expect more than that life expectancy. The filters I feel are also pricey. If you're debating an air purifier, get one but maybe not this one.

The product worked well until it didn’t. I purchased this in January 2021 and now after 1 year and 5 months the pannel went out.
