Smart & Quiet

Smart humidifier became dumb in one year
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Both WiFi and the humidity sensor failed within a year. The troubleshooting steps they give of course did nothing, and there doesn't seem to be any hard reset to fix the wifi. Instead of going into pairing mode, it just blinks the blue icon once and then does nothing. It still works as a dumb humidifier, although it's been loud since about a year old. Thoroughly cleaning it silences it, but only for a day or so. Cleaning is also a tedious, ineffective process. There are a number of areas you simply can't reach, and vinegar can only do so much. The best method I've found is to clean what you can, then run it on high for a few hours with straight vinegar in it. You'll want to do so outside or with the windows open.

Pianist/Piano teacher

Without a consistent humidity level of 25 to 30 % it is difficult to keep the tuning of the grand pianos stable. It does take a lot of tending--needs water-refills frequently.
