To get one minute of time you have to press 1,0,0 or the 30 second key twice instead of just pressing the one key. It doesn't have a sensor. On the positive side it heats well and quickly. Also it is quiet and the cooking done chime is pleasant. It is a step up from the GE I had.

It's been amazing: warms well, has a lot of great features, and looks sleek. This is a small microwave, so if you want all the bells and whistles and something super-quiet, upgrade to something bigger and fancier and more costly. As is, I think this is a terrific deal for what you get. Very happy I ended up buying this microwave.
