Just quit on us after 5 years. Just for comparison, we had a 30 yr old microwave that was still working when we gave it away. This broken one was supposed to replace that. smh.

Very nice looking stainless steal microwave. Great for small offices.

This microwave works very well for the price/size category. I have had no problems heating the foods I cook, which is mostly rewarming, defrosting, and popcorn. Not too big, not too small. Most of the quick cook buttons are decent, like 'food plate'. The carousel tray fits in 'detent' area -not quite flush, but does not stick up too far. Good microwave so far.

7 years later it looks and work like it was brand new.

My wife was so excited when I presented this Microwace after out old 1 dies a Dad before her Birthday.

After our compact LG for 9 years died, we bought a GE microwave and after 2 days brought it back and got this LG. The price was a little higher than what we wanted to spend and I would have expected it to have the sensor cook since our last LG which cost $40 9 years ago had it and with technology expanding just thought they all should have this feature. This unit is a good size, attractive and has great power. We love all the touch screen features and they work the same as the old one so there was no learning curve. Also like the fact that this unit doesn't steam up when cooking items for a few minutes like most of the new ones seem to have these characteristics. The buttons are easy to use and I like being able to just hit 22 seconds and start versus hitting menu options to get to the same results or hitting 1 and it starts up at a minute...that to me is an annoyance. The sound from the unit is good, not as good as the GE but this one works. The LG product has been a great product and I will always be an LG fan for microwaves, Tv's and cell phones!

This item is great for our purposes since it's medium-sized. We needed something that had decent power, but could also fit on our small countertop.

Don't believe the basic Product Features information provided on the Best Buy web site for this microwave, since it is not accurate. It states that it has a 2.0 cu ft. capacity, when it really only has a 1.1 cu ft. capacity (as documented elsewhere). It also states that it has the Sensor Cook feature, but it doesn't (as I found out when I bought it specifically for that feature, but discovered it didn't have it after I got it home). I reported this to Customer Service over 2 years ago (6/29/2015), and their response was "We understand how important it is to make sure our customers receive each item exactly as described. Consequently, we apologize for an oversight on one of our items advertised online. We are aware that miscommunication or misunderstanding may sometimes cause problems on the accuracy of the order. That being said, we believe this incident was just a one-off and should not be a reflection of the entire Best Buy customer service. You can be sure this will not happen again in the future." However, over 2 years later, Best Buy still sells this product and, as of 9/16/2017, they continue to provide the same misleading information about this product. Based on the Customer Service response saying "this will not happen again in the future", you would think they would have corrected their web site, but apparently that was too difficult for them, so I figured I should warn other customers that the information was incorrect to save somebody else from buying this microwave based on the listed features, just to find out when they got it home that the information wasn't correct.

So all of our appliances in our kitchen are LG products (as well as a few tv's in our home) and we have been extremely happy.......with the exception of this particular microwave (LCS1112ST). The first microwave unit we purchased needed to be returned within a couple months due to a faulty unit. LG immediately responded with a reimbursement and I ventured off to replace it with the same unit "based on reviews" thinking "maybe we just got a lemon". NOPE.......I'm here to tell you, 20 months later, the same model unit is going out. We are extremely clean people and treat our appliances well. But don't you think a microwave should last more than 20 months? Not even two full years and the same model unit goes out. While many of these reviews are done immediately after initial purchase, I've had two units go out within a 20 month span. The only reason I felt compelled to write this review is because the LG representative (Leanne/ operator # 10262) wasn't even willing to consider any sort of compensation. I'm not looking for a full refund. Maybe a discount off my next LG purchase or something. There is something to be said about customer service and keeping us coming back. But this microwave situation has me less likely to recommend LG microwaves. Once again, all appliances in my kitchen are an LG product and most in my home are as well. I just wish a huge manufacturer like LG would be willing to keep the little consumer like you and me "completely satisfied"....."satisfaction guaranteed". Guess not in this case. So BUYER BEWARE!!!

LG 1.1 cu. ft microwave - It does microwave well, but the control panel is very hard to read. I also detracted a star for extreme loudness. The EZ-On button is sometimes useful, but it isn't the same as an "add 30 second" feature other microwaves have. I might end up returning it...I'm not sure how this product made it to the manufacturing point without someone noticing the flaws. I doubt I will buy another LG product.

The BB showroom is quite bright and the display looked OK. Got home, unpacked it and I could tell right away it wasn't gonna be OK. In a medium light environment, I could barely read the display panel even up close. I took it back. I could read my old Sharp MW from across the room.

Love this unit, but the window in the door started to steam up between the panes of glass. Called LG warranty (had only had the unit for a couple of months) and was told that I was only eligible for "carry-in" service. I am an elderly woman and can't lift this microwave. Even if I were younger/stronger and could manage carry-in service, I might, according to the LG Customer Service Rep, have to pay for door replacement. This is obviously a manufacturing defect, yet LG warranty won't send out a service person and might not cover repair charges anyway. Be forewarned!

I purchased this about 2 or 2 I/2 years ago and from the beginning the door steamed up and when I called the 1888 number I was told that that was normal now after only a short time the door latch jumped out on the floor...this is a piece of garbage and I would never purchase LG again...

I just bought this yesterday and now concur with some other reviews. This is very sleek, great for the counter but very loud, much more than my old emerson that was dying. Also, it is very difficult to see the buttons, they are grey on black and very muted so you have to turn a light on which still is tough. I will be returning today.

We've had this microwave for 6 months, now. It is inconsistent for cooking times. The popcorn button burns the popcorn no matter what the setting. It's also super loud and the solution is to tap the side of the machine to get it to be quieter. For the money, this was a big disappointment. Wish I had chosen differently.

I have a mid sized kitchen and this microwave works perfectly for the place that I have and looks very great on the counter

I bought this microwave for my parents for Christmas to match their other stainless steel appliances. First off, this microwave is only stainless steel on the front of the microwave ( you can see where in the pic they have shown). The top, bottom, and both sides are black. It's like 90% black 10% stainless steel. The interior light is shockingly dim. Has this dark yellow color when you open it up.. the lighting is something you would find in an appliance from the 80's.... My parents previous microwave was 1000 watts as well and when we used the LG I had to heat the food longer, for some reason it just wasn't heating the middle of the food at all. I just expected more from this microwave, but I bought it off of appearances and the brand name which I regret now. Do research first everyone!

The reviews for this microwave are misleading. Usually, I trust LG in making quality consumer electronics. But this microwave is just poor. First of all, the door sticks when you depress the open button. You have to press the button further to open the door. Secondly, the microwave emits a loud buzzing noise on the right panel when operating more than 1 minute. It seems fine when you heat for under a minute but anything more, a loud buzzing noise comes on. No wonder this microwave costed so little. It's cheap and poorly constructed. This is going right back to Best Buy.

Have no negatives on positives!!! Works great does a good job love the features !!!
