It cooks potatoes more throughly than the old one but I have to be careful with popcorn and stop it early because it is so powerful. I took the old microwave to Best Buy because I had a 4 year extended warranty and Best Buy gave me a gift card for this new LG. Thanks Best Buy and I am thankful my microwave problem has been resolved!

The face of microwave with gray colored keypad on black background blends well with our gray colored kitchen appliances however after using I now realize it's not enough contrast for me to read in low light conditions. White lettering or a lighted keypad works better for my situation.

It says it has a sensing mechanism to sense when the food is done. I don't think mine works. Definitely could be user error. I have to keep a close eye on my food or will boil over. Other than the sensing issue the microwave is great!

Noise problems
